As an 18 year old, I was id immediately which I thought was understandable for my age, however what I didn’t expect was to be kicked out in under a minute for simply not ordering a drink. The landlord was rude and was looking for any way to kick us out and overall was a very unpleasant and hostile

Really nice traditional pub great friendly atmosphere and punters! Never been here before as my brother has just moved into the area and we came in for his birthday drink. Cosy and dog friendly for those animal lovers so nice all round. Will probably visit again!

A visit to an old haunt from my younger days. A friendly pub with a range of beers. I liked the vault as the main bar was crowded

Been visiting this little nugget for the last 20 years now. It’s more than an increasingly & very scarce traditional very well run pub these days or the’ only pub in Hale, Village, Cheshire.’ It’s a magical unchanged formula that still operates & works under the same regime as it has done successfully for many years by the same family members behind it. It’s a great boozer with a mixed and magical customer profile from every well behaved spectrum in life you might find in Hale. It’s a safe haven for people still embracing and trying to find a traditional PUB - Keep it up Al and all your team. ?

Proper Robinsons boozer well supported by local community.Kid-friendliness: You can take your well behaved dog in and go for a smoke out the back but please leave your kids at home.

Great place, always seems to be busy with great atmosphere. A real mix of customers, which makes it welcoming and you do not feel out of place. Outdoor seating is great addition with heating.

Great quirky pub, I used to come here many years ago as captain of The Bridge in Sale's darts team, we were rubbish but always got a good welcome.Pub has great woodwork furnishings and different rooms, and it looks like there's a good old-fashioned snug. The small garden at the back was nice to sit in, and you could shelter when the imminent rain fell. All in all, a great pub in a village that is sadly lacking in real good old-fashioned boozers.

Good friendly pub with seating indoors and outside at the back.

This long standing family run pub has an Irish atmosphere welcoming young and old, locals and visitors alike. Has been one of my regular family favourites nearly 30years and will be for many other families for another 30years if not longer. The owners Alan and Ian are always around to keep everyone aware of local events and forever giving helpful golf and football anecdotes. Still one of the best pubs in the area for all.Kid-friendliness: As the landlady, Bridget, used to say 'The children of today are the drinkers of tomorrow ' and my kids have been visiting The Railway all of their lives, son now 31 and daughter 28 so the saying seems to be true!
