The food ? was very good & loved the presentation. The staff were helpful & so nice, the restaurant was very clean & we loved it, definitely be back again. The lemon ? tart with lemon sorbet was absolutely amazing.

Little gem! Their Legendary Cheese Pie is just that...legendary - I forgot to take a photo!Hubbie had the Steak and ale pie, he said it was magnificent!Will be back - I almost forgot the Lee's beers were great too.

Great atmosphere. Plenty of room at lunchtime. Warm and welcoming. Staff very friendly. Food excellent - enjoyed the Cosy Lunch menu - 2 courses for £14.45 or 3 courses for £16.95. Great value and good selection available. Recommended.

Went for lunch.Cheese and onion pie was nice.Rock hard chips. Brown bits on clearly past it lettuce in Caesar salad.Indifferent wait staff."The lettuce has brown bits on it"... response was "That's a shame"Won't be going back.

We called in today me and my lady, first through the door 28/Feb. We ordered 2 Latte's and one Club Sandwich for my lady. I wasn't hungry,,,,, but when it arrived trust me it was a meal for two. So I had half of it and was stuffed. It has to be the best club sandwich I have ever had. The staff two ladies were ever so friendly and welcoming. Well done.

A fantastic place to eat, a little quiet while we were here on valentine's day but that's fine by us.The food was great and well priced and the staff were friendly and attentive, I'd definitely recommend a visit!

Would definitely recommend the Rope and Anchor to friends and family if we lived in the area. The starters we had the prawn cocktail and Lamb scrumpet simply wow best starter. The home made meat and potato ple melted in your mouth. The desserts Excellent finish to the meal. All the flavours complimented from start to finish.
