The Harvester chain is essentially a family pub/restaurant and for me a place for meeting up with friends. The menu covers the basics - burghers, chicken, fish, pasta, and the like; there is a separate lunch menu. On my most recent visit I had a half chicken, chips, corn on the cob, plus a sage & onion flavoured gravy. As always, patrons are able to avail themselves of the free salad bar. The setting at the Ashton Moss venue is light, bright and modern; the Harvester is just a short walk away from the multiplex cinema. My chicken was cooked to perfection - moist and juicy without being under cooked; contrast this with the chicken I had on my recent visit to Rhyl, there the chicken was dry and with little flavour. The staff are polite and on hand with no undue delay. I recommend the Harvester at Ashton Moss.

Limited food choice at astronomical prices . On the main menu they have burgers/ fish chips/ chicken / And some form of veggie chili con carne . Not much choice at the salad bar too! What happened to pasta meals / lasagna etc or traditional bangers and mash / home made beef and ale pie ?
