Recently had my wedding here, from start to finish bethanie was amazing ? my only wish was that she was also there on our big day, rooms , food and staff just perfect , Nathan dealt with our finishing touches and he just didn't stop thr whole time. There's nothing they couldn't improve on to make our day so perfect and we're forever grateful xx

Room was unbearably hot with no A/C Working - reported to staff but nobody bothered to look at it. No USB points in the room and the furniture in desperate need of an update! Reception not particularly knowledgeable and food at breakfast was stone cold! This place is in a good location, that’s about all that you can say about it….

Beware of swimming pool scam; not open to families for large parts of the day, though this isn't widely advertised at point of booking. Car parking also costs £5 (this is buried in the fine print). We arrived at 6pm to be greeted by two burly bouncers and a self check-in computer - not very welcoming. Bar was over-priced and wasn't serving hot chocolate. Pleased to leave. Manager has stopped engaging with my emailed complaint.

The Village hotel Ashton Under Lyne should be ashamed of their attitude to disabled parking. They have a lot of bays but they are frequently occupied by fit young people using the gym and works van. Many people have spoken to hotel staff but nothing every changed. My husband has a blue badge to park but some days there isn’t a space. There are signs and bays clearly marked but no one enforces this. I feel sorry for disabled guests at the hotel and gym members with disabilities. They are quick to impose fines if you are in the car park for more than three hours but no fines for those people who park in disabled bays

We had our wedding here, 25/08/2023 From start to finish Bethanie was just truly amazing! Any questions or concerns we had (trust me there was a lot) she couldn’t have been more reassuring and answered everything really quickly. We communicated lots by email, and she always responded quickly. The room on the day was stunning, it was beautifully dressed, the DJ was amazing, the food was beautiful. We have had so many compliments about how good our wedding was. On the day Jamie-Leigh made sure everything went smoothly and on time, she was incredible and really reassuring. All of the staff involved, I cannot thank you enough. I don’t have a single bad word to say. If you are looking at wedding venues, that are very reasonably priced, with everything all in the same place, 1000% recommend the village hotel. Thank you all so much x

We stayed at the Village Hotel for my daughter's wedding, she got married in the hotel. From booking in to checking out it was a perfect day. The staff were all amazing and my daughter's special day went without any problems with the help of the wedding organisers.

The rooms are perfectly acceptable and are clean and tidy. However, I travel alot for work and sometimes after a long day on the road I just want to order room service and have a chill. I spent two days here and the room service that is only accessible via a QR code didn't work. There is no telephone back up and basically no reception with a human being manning it. This meant I had to venture out to get a take away or sit on my own in a loud bar area. I will not be using Village hotels anymore based on this experience. Advertising room service that is then basically unusable is unforgivable, when you are travelling on your own no room service is a deal breaker. I would never have booked had I known.

We recently held a conference at the Village Hotel Ashton and was pleasantly surprised. Bethanie and her team in Meetings & Events ensured our conference ran to perfection in professional and stylish surroundings with excellent customer service. We also stayed in the modern sparkling clean rooms with Anna on the reception desk during the day and Nico the Night Manager making sure check-in, check-out and all f our needs were promptly dealt with. We also dined in the Village Pub & Grill and the food and service was exceptional. We will definitely be holding our next Northern event at the same venue.

WOW !! I will never stay here again, we stayed 1 night and what a mistake we ate in the bar & grill and the staff were RUDE the bar was busy due to the football being on but no excuse when your paying for a service the food was horrible and cold ! No one come to see if everything was ok had to ask for condiments as they brought the food and biting to eat it with , when I asked we was grunted at by a young lad , large portion of chicken tenders was given as 6 £17 and apparently a small is 4 £8 . I spent £41 on food and drink and was not worth it should have gone the McDonald’s over the road. Room was on 3rd floor over looking a metal roof very load and music going all night the shower was horrendous hot more pressure out the sink tap then the shower!! The stay was for our anniversary and it was horrible so thanks The Village Aston Under Lyne for the horrible stay !!

Second time staying at this particular Village hotel and it just keeps getting better. Everything was first class - a warm welcome, easy check-in, fantastic room on a nice quiet floor and clean throughout. Great TV with plenty of channel choices and a really comfortable bed. Village Works was a real highlight - jacuzzis are so relaxing and unlike my recent stay in the Wirral everything was working and they didn’t charge us anything for a towel! It’s incredible how much the quality of these hotels vary and having stayed in a few now Ashton sets the benchmark all the other Village hotels should strive for.. 10/10

I visit my family every year at this hotel, area is great for all ages, tram stop just outside to get into Manchester. Team here are great, always smiling... special mention to the reception team... Ruckshana and Anna especially, they work some hours there and nothing is too much trouble... thanks again ladies and see you next year x

Clean, modern look and feel. Bathrooms in Club Rooms are a tub instead of a walk in shower. The hand holds are too far apart even for a 6' male and the tub is very slick. I took a fall in the tub, bruising my ribs. When I told the manager, she just looked at me like I grew a second head. Those tubs need anti-slip matts. Unless you go to the gym very early or very late, don't bother its too busy as its a shared facility. Food in the lounge is fair, there is better a short distance away.

Great hotel, great food and drinks within the bar and grill. Daisy was an excellent help with planning our work event and went above and beyond for our company, I would definitely recommend and would definitely visit again.
