This place has really gone downhill the food is actually quite bad now and the place feels dirty. Such a shame as it used to be lovely. Heard lots of similar reports from friends

Absolutely gorgeous little place. Great selection of drinks, beautiful interior and beer garden. The pizzas are lovely and excellent value.

This restaurant is close by my friend’s house, and as they’ve always been positive about the place, so thought why not visit here for a meal for a birthday gathering. Table booked for 7:15 for 4, all of the party arrived and food was ordered for about 7:30 -7:45… Half of the tables order arrived about 30-45 minutes. The other half of the table was STILL waiting for starters of garlic bread at 9pm. Yes 9pm and our starters (garlic bread… I know a very complicated menu item) still hadn’t even come out. Just before 9pm I went up to check on the food and complain including to the manager regarding the delay and the response was “Should be 5 minutes now. Oh sorry, we were busy and we should’ve told you that there would be a wait on the food before ordering…” Well that’s marvellous telling me that now at 9pm by which time I am fuming, and starving… did I mention starving? My garlic bread, one of the two starters, finally came out after I went up and complained. I was that annoyed I decided that I would cancel my main, and arrange a takeaway.. Then not long after the other garlic bread came out. The waitress came over shortly afterwards to check if the other similar main to the one which I had cancelled should also be cancelled (which says to me that it STILL hadn’t been started). It was agreed that should be cancelled too. I’m not going to lie, I was rather acerbic with the waitress who came over to ask the question and apologise, but by this point repeated apologies only with no remedial action, meant very little to me by this stage. If they had have warned us that the meals would take that long either at the outset, or when the food to half the party, then an apology might have cut it but not at 60-90 minutes later on a starter. This was an infuriating and disappointing visit and definitely not as enjoyable as it should’ve been.

Update: returned here and the size of the salt n proper chips has definitely increased! We also sat out in the beer garden which was really nice in the sun.+ Warm, homely atmosphere+ Polite and hard working staff+ Wide selection of gins, including some they make in house. Recommend the homemade cucumber gin.+ Tapas style food was very nice. The tacos were great.- Some of the food dishes are very overpriced though. 'SNP' chips were £4.50 for just over a handful of fries. Very nice, but over double the price they should have been. Would probably be a 5* review if the food prices were more reasonable. They tell you straight away it's a serve yourself kind of place, which was fine by us as you can order and pay at your own pace - so don't go in expecting to be waited on, it's not that kind of place. Once you understand that it's a really nice little bar and I'll definitely come back.

Had a fantastic night last night at Juniper & Vine. We went as a group of 8 ladies to make two teams for the quiz. We ordered pizzas, etc, they were amazing. The drink prices are good and the happy hour cocktails from 9pm were a bonus. The quiz questions were a fabulous mix of questions and the quiz master was brilliant at keeping everyone engaged and entertained. The only down side was not winning the quiz ?. But we did well.

Absolutely love this place. Atmosphere and surroundings are so chilled. Fab in the winter with a real fire and in the summer with the great outdoor space. This is a bar that serves food and not a restaurant but the food they do serve is great grazing food from a quirky menu. Food can come slowly as it’s prepared to order but it’s worth it and great pizzas from a pizza oven out back. Great local for us within walking distance. What’s not to like ?‍♀️

Been here several times before and always had a lovely experience. However, this wasn’t the case this time. We had to wait over an hour for food to arrive. When it did arrive it came in dribs and drabs. We all ate separately. It’s wasn’t a family meal. We weren’t told there would be a wait on the food. It was also empty in there, so don’t know why there was a wait anyway. Certainly won’t be coming back.

Very disappointed with the changes and food. Had some lovely meals here previously but after a recent visit, will not be returning. Most of the food was served in boxes and paper bags. The guacamole, sour cream and salsa that was served on the nachos were very poor quality, obviously not fresh and all processed. The Camembert used to be served with pink peppercorns and honey and garnished with rosemary. Now it’s just served alone and nothing special about it. We were asked to find our own table but it’s not the right environment to do that as we felt we were just walking around from room to room. Ordered S&P chicken, received 4 tiny pieces in a large cardboard pizza box - very bizarre. The menu was also very hard to navigate, it’s not clear which ingredients belonged to which dish and we were not told that certain items had sold out. So when we went to the bar to order food (no longer waiter service), we were then informed some items not available so had to return to menu at table and come back. It was a very strange experience and so far from what it used to be.

Just left here, waa so looking forward to it. Don't understand why given food in boxes and bags no plates... 1 napkin and no dough or prosecco. Food OKish, long island tea, just diet coke! And no toilet roll or hand towels bathroom. Truly disappointed. After hearing good things. Literally there 35 mins. Runnish
