Greeted with a smile the whole place is clean and tidy, all open plan so you can see into the kitchens I havent had fried bread in a long time and it was lovely. I had the full English with a coffee and a bottle of fresh orange juice. While I was there regulars came in so thats always a good sign of a quality well established cafe.

I had a funny turn and became poorly very quickly at 7 months pregnant. The staff were unbelievable in this situation especially Jess H! She was super caring and made me feel comfortable and not embarrassed about the whole ordeal. I cannot thank her enough for this. She really is such a great member of staff. Thank you Jess really thank you! Mac was great as always he always is. Everytime we come in he is great!

The Hamers also puts on other themed nights. Through the years it has played second fiddle to The Footballers across the road but it now appears to be doing very well. I’m told by others, the food is very good value. Will go again.

From walking in we were greeted by lovely staff, a great atmosphere, accompanied with live acoustic music, the food wasn’t just amazing but unbelievable potion sizes! After a superb feed me and my other half were more than shocked at the value of the price for not just the food but the excellent experience we had! Couldn’t recommend anymore and thankyou to the owner and the lovely staff who all took part! Should all be more than proud of the delight you bring to our local area! Bravo!

We also sat out in the beer garden which was really nice in the sun.+ Warm, homely atmosphere+ Polite and hard working staff+ Wide selection of gins, including some they make in house. Recommend the homemade cucumber gin.+ Tapas style food was very nice. The tacos were great.- Some of the food dishes are very overpriced though. 'SNP' chips were £4.50 for just over a handful of fries. Very nice, but over double the price they should have been. Would probably be a 5* review if the food prices were more reasonable.They tell you straight away it's a serve yourself kind of place, which was fine by us as you can order and pay at your own pace - so don't go in expecting to be waited on, it's not that kind of place. Once you understand that it's a really nice little bar and I'll definitely come back.

As someone looking for vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free food, I found Zen Plant Food Cafe at The Mind and Body Natural Health Centre in Bolton Street (opposite the Railway Museum) has a great cafe with a choice of fresh home-cooked soups, vegan scones, juices etc, tucked back from the main road.I am dealing with some food allergies and the owner was very helpful in working out what I could eat from her menu of healthy vegetarian/vegan food. The café also has some interesting herbal teas with health benefits. You can choose from a little gem of an outdoor garden, a covered outdoor space or a cosy indoor space with comfy sofas.There's books, products and gifts you can buy along a healing/esoteric/spiritual theme.They also do yoga classes (at the moment some are online), yoga teacher training and (I think) treatments there. The whole place has a lovely, welcoming vibe and the hospitality of the owner shines through. A true alternative to the standard soulless Costa/Starbucks cafés.

If you're a lover, like I am, of a tradition English cafe, a quentisential "greasy spoon" , then this is the one to visit when you're in Bury.Bury itself is quite a nice town, and I'd recommend half a day there if you're in the area. A whole day if you ride the old railway, which is worth it! Start or take lunch at this cafe nonetheless.

The egg yolk runny and the bacon was fairly lean with slight fat - what you expect really. The sausage was a smallish curly Cumberland type - quite nice. All in all I was pleased with what I got for the price.

13 Bolton Rd W, Ramsbottom, BuryMy partner and I came for a Sunday lunch.we didn't know what, however gave it a chance and it paid off.. we arrived slightly earlier then our booking time and was told we could sit at a bar area where they went and got us some stools.. when our table was ready it was a high table option, which we wasn't happy with and asked if we could have a low table option.. they accommodated. We ordered 2 beef Sunday lunches with added side orders and we couldn't fault what we had.. the food was beautiful.. the meat was so tender and the accompaniments were lovely. The price was very reasonable.. we would definitely eat there again.

Rapallo Ristorante
High St, Walshaw, BuryWe have been visiting Rapallo, in its various iterations, for many years. In the last few years the restaurant has gone from good to great. Last night my wife and I enjoyed a Sunday afternoon dinner here. There was a buzz to the place that was exciting whilst not being too intrusive to our meal. The food was fabulous and the service from Elizabeth and her team was excellent. A new look interior added to a great ambience. It's so easy for a restaurant to become complacent, when it's doing well. That can't be said of Rapallo, which continues to impress. And I should mention the good value in the early bird menu, which is great. Well done Rapallo.

14-16 Silver St, BuryThe whole team are very and friendly and welcoming. I have been in several times and enjoyed the atmosphere! I especially like the various Lilleys ciders offered and enjoy going in and trying the different flavours! Love this pub!!

402-404 Bolton Rd W, Holcombe Brook, Ramsbottom, BuryNew menu is nice! Some lovely options. Recommend the pork and bean stew as a lovely winter warmer. Service was good, live music was super loud and made it difficult to catch up with family once it had started, rather than being a nice background

Northern Whisper Ramsbottom Tap Room
2 Market Pl, Ramsbottom, BuryI enjoyed a gin and a cider here. My husband enjoyed the beers. There were too many young children climbing around to relax properly, hence the 4 stars. It's a really nice place, though, if you're ok with kids.Kid-friendliness: There were lots. It was the worst part.
