What a gem of a find. A lovely country pub and beautiful food with stunning views. Gluten free and vegan options available, with quality home cooked food. Very classy but at the same time very relaxed. We will definitely be back, I look forward to sitting outside in the summer. We hadn't booked but I would recommend it, we were dining early and managed to get a table for 3, but it was busy.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor tables available and ramp access

I would highly recommend the pack horse , a lovely place with a great menu. Staff were friendly and the food was great. This place has been the best place I've dined out in the past year , the views from the outside are amazing and can imagine that in the summer it would be extremely busy , we booked a table in advance and I'm glad we did as the place was really busy. My dad had the fish and chips and the fish was enormous with loads of crispy batter the ladies both went for the cheese and onion pie and I had the beef and ale pie. The fish looked in my opinion the best dish but unfortunately I didn't get a taste.

We stopped in to The Pack Horse with some visiting family without having booked hoping for a table. Whilst the restaurant was fully booked we were sat in a very comfortable part of the bar. Each of our group of 4 had a different starter and main and all were very well cooked, generously portioned and well presented. The service was polite, efficient, attentive without being obtrusive. We have been several times and never disappointed. We hope to return in the summer to eat outdoors and admire the views.

This place is well worth the drive. It's up in the beautiful countryside, great atmosphere, great food. I have eaten and drank here several times and it doesn't disappoint. I did however have the cheese and onion pie which had a larger proportion of potato (big pet hate!) than I would have liked however the quality was there. Lovely log fires to keep you warm and a selection of real ales which are well kept to keep you hydrated! Add this to your to do list, it won't disappoint!Parking: Huge car park which I've never seen full. Be aware however that it is gravelly. On street parking available too.

Booked a table for Sunday 18th & opted for the sharing roast. The food arrived within 15 mins which was before our drinks order however the food was delicious. I was a little disappointed that the older waitress advised that guests had arrived for our table just over 90 minutes after sitting down, more so after I paid & left a significant tip. The table next to us had been seated prior to our arrival & were still there upon our departure. We will visit again however a little disappointed with the attitude towards us post meal.
