Stopped off here after a lovely walk having not been before. Service was incredible fromThe moment we walked in. So attentive and made us feel right at home. Food was excellent as well, the steak and ale pie being the star of the show. I’ve eaten a lot of steak and ale pies and I think this could be the best I have ever had.

Four of us dining. We all had an imaginative starter, feta crumpets, hash browns and chilli sauce all garnished with rocket and pea tops plus a gastronomic delight of a meal. Mine was fresh tuna, couscous with spinach slathered in between. The service was friendly and efficient, the ambiance relaxed. This is a lovely. old village pub, in delightful surroundings with plenty of parking spaces. Proper food produced in the kitchen by an accomplished chef and made from fresh ingredients all done at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.
