Are people talking about the same venue? A friend and I went in twice this afternoon. Firstly about 12.45 for a drink as we hadn't made our minds up about what we wanted to eat. I have to say the afternoon menu is a little limited. Eggs and burgers in the main. I hadn't looked at the evening menu as we were not out all day. We went back for something to eat around 2.30. Service slow (nearly non existent until we think the the chap who is the owner came out and asked us were we being attended to - we weren't). The only difference was that we sat outside on the second visit. I ordered Eggs as You Like Them. Good Lord what a disappointment. One piece of unbuttered sourdough, four very, very small portions of avocado and two eggs. Eggs ok but frankly the plate looked desolate. So £7.50 for two ordinary eggs, one sad looking piece of sourdough in the middle of plate with nothing else but an afterthought of avocado. Absolutely no thank you. My friend had the Triple Stack Boulevard BLT. Just as sad on the plate dry and unappetising in being polite. I really wish I had taken a photo of my plate in particular. It looked sad and nearly empty. The drinks were fine both times. Absolutely dreadfully disappointing. Also service polite but lacking. I should also add it was hardly busy so staff should have been more than aware, particularly considering I had to go in and ask for a menu on the second occasion. My advice don't bother .

What a feast for the eyes before you feast on the food - the decor throughout (even in the loos) is opulent, original and beautiful. I've eaten their twice rhis week, a brunch and a light lunch, and can't wait to go their for a main meal.

Visited the new restaurant on Sunday. The place looks amazing. The toilets are great the bar and the attention to detail fabulousThe food was lovely we had Sunday dinner that was good and the service was good.We then stayed in the bar which had a great atmosphere.Thanks we will be returning

What an amazing bar/restaurant. A great addition to Monton. There is no where else like it in the area. The decor and attention to detail is stunning. The food and drink is also incredible. Love how much effort has gone into this place. A real destination and true gem! 10/10

Anyone who has read my reviews knows I am completely honest and not biased at all… this place is lovely, great food, lovely staff, GM very friendly and welcoming, very proud to have this place round the corner. We had one tiny little issue with some sauces and it was dealt with very quickly and efficiently and explained why it happened even though there was no need, very impressed! Lovely room at the back with natural light.

Just been for my Mother's Day Brunch and it was lovely. We ordered the Full Monty Breakfast and the Pancakes with Bacon & Maple Syrup. Delicious. The Bar and Dining Room are stunning, such detail in the decoration. Staff extremely helpful. We rounded off with take out Cheesecake ? We will definitely be visiting again.

STYLE OVER SUBSTANCEThis is a fantastic looking bar & restaurant however this is where is ends unfortunately. It appears all their time, effort and money have been invested into how the venue looks and nothing else. I get the impression, and correct me if I'm wrong, that whoever is running/managing this place has very limited experience in how to run a restaurant especially when it comes to service. If it carries on like it is, and issues surrounding service (as you will see from previous reviews) aren't addressed then unfortunately this place won't stand the test of time ESPECIALLY when they are competing against established and excellent eateries on the same street such as vintage ambiance, blacksticks, playfoots, la turka, eden and waterside!! We attended last week for food and these are the pros and cons we found:Pros:Decor and setting are incredibleCleanliness appeared goodBar appeared well stocked and looked greatCons:Had to ask for a menu and drinks after being there for at least 15 minutes.The kitchen kept shouting for service when the food was ready and staff were ignoring it even though they were stood around on their phones.The waitress cleared plates even though one of the party was still eating (basics).The table next to us smashed a glass on the table and the waitress brushed the glass splinters off the table and chair and onto the floor.After ordering coffee we had to ask for sugar to be brought twice.Even though it looks stylish, one of the waitresses was wearing crocs on her feet which really doesn't look great.Don't get me wrong I have been here before just for drinks in the bar area and it was great but the owners really need to sort out the restaurant side of things and get someone in that knows how to run a restaurant before this place folds. All you need to do is read the other reviews and you will see where the problem lies.
