We came along for a meal for my birthday and we’re bowled over with how amazing the restaurant looks. The Manager always puts in a special effort to decorate at christmas.Fantastic warm welcome and great food and atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back here as it’s only a couple of minutes from my mother in laws house.Kid-friendliness: The windmill is right at the heart of the community and the staff go out of their way to make you welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: All on the one level. My 86 year old mother in law had no problem getting from the taxi to the table.

Attended wedding there closed to general public on that occasion.Service and food were first class, enjoyed every aspect....Would definitely recommend.

Although the food was good, the service was great and staff polite we did have a bad experience. There was a group of young men in the pub that were a bit rowdy - I'm ok with rowdy, it just means they are having a good time, nothing wrong with that - however, my 11 year old granddaughter came back from the toilet very distressed and somewhat embarrassed. When asked what was wrong she wouldn't really say. It wasn't until we had left the pub that she revealed that one of the young men had entered the ladies toilet whilst she was using the facility and proceeded to use the cubicle next to her. I won't go in to detail but needless to say he hadn't gone in there to have a "number one" and was quite vocal and noisy. I was upset about that and it spoiled what otherwise would have been a pleasant evening out for tea. What a shame we probably won't revisit because of that.

The beef was re heated on a griddle pan and dry as a bone. Why?The whole meal seemed re heated and left out on a hot plate to dry up all day with a few ill and miserable looking green beans tossed onto a so called roast dinner. Aunt Bessie yorkshire thrown on too for good measure. Great job!
