We went for carvery on Mother’s Day. The staff were great. They interacted with the kids and nothing was too much trouble. I asked if the veg had been cooked in butter as my baby has a milk allergy and the chef cooked her some fresh veg. The food was delicious too! Only slight issue was that the sauces were further away from the carvery area. We didn’t see them until the way out.Kid-friendliness: Colouring sheets and crayons, ikea high chairs. Great staff who interact with the kids. Good kids menu, especially the free ice cream.

We went in for food and a few beers after a long hike in the Peak District. All tired, we walked in looking forward to a beer and nice food. All was good until we met the manager, violent control freak. Poured me a shocking Guiness and was insulted when I asked for a new one. Kicked us all out and started to use physical force to get us out. Never attend this pub, terrible service.

Very nice pub. Got young people running and serving. Very friendly people need to be more professional in working within the food and working with people. Not sure what they're doing. That's down to the manager. Had a Christmas dinner with no sprouts. I did tell them they did bring some. Food was nice. Needs to be more professional within the eating section.

Nice Sunday dinner . Warm welcome from the landlord I think place was buzzing with families. Beer, cider spot on paid £12 each for two meats carvery was very tasty just a few veg a bit lukewarm but I am guessing that’s all about timing . Tasty meats with friendly serving staff . Impressed May be back . Nice pub ??

Just wanted to shout out Dean for his exceptional customer service. Called in for drinks on a typically busy Sunday dinner slot. No intentions of eating, roast in the oven at home. Even though every table was booked for diners, Dean managed to shuffle things around and accommodated 6 adults and 2 dogs just for drinks. The thing is, we get it! For our local pubs to survive, they have to serve food, and a table allocated to none diners is lost profit. We might have left, unbegrudgingly, but Dean made it work. Exactly the service you want from your local boozer. Guess what, we’ll eat next time! Many thanks for looking after us. Btw, didn’t catch any names, but the bar staff are also consistently amazing
