“Relaxing lunch with a ballet friend. Very tasty Eggs Florentine and Chorizo Hash Benedict, hot, strong coffees sat at a high table. Ordered at the bar and brought by a smiling waitress. All very tasty, just wish they’d been able to bring two relatively simple meals at the same time rather than a few minutes apart.”

“We went on a Sunday morning, so it was a little bit of a wait but it was worth it! I got the Sweet potato Benedict and OMG what an explosion of flavor! The sweet potato hash and roasted red peppers is genius!!”

“I loved the personal attention from friendly staff, especially as I was on my own. There was table service and I didn’t have to wait long for it , even though, as always. The Coffee Sack was busy. The food is fabulous; so tasty, nutritious and healthy. I always have poached egg, smoked , salmon, creamed cheese and shaved almonds on their toasted home made rustic bread. It served with a lovely salad with great dressing and the best slaw ever. It only costs £9 but it’s listed on the menu as 9 which gives it something quaint and old world. I always accompany this with breakfast tea which, Allelujah, is loose and comes with a strainer. It taste like tea should. Just to round it all off I have a smoothie with kale and many other ingredients - just to be super healthier-would really appreciate a larger glass at that price but I’m not whingeing given the overall satisfying experience of the place.”

“The most delicious Italian baked goods! We came here just for cakes but ended up getting a fried calzone too, all of which were very well made and so tasty. The girls behind the counter were very friendly, even gave our dog some treats. We are most definitely coming back to try the main menu, and raid the rest of the cake fridge!”

“Had a nice lunch here with friends. Quite busy when we arrived at 12, but only waited 10mins for a table. A warm atmosphere, great service and lovely food - we got poached eggs on Sourdough and Brioche French Toast. Freshly made cakes and tasty coffee with oat milk as an alternative. A modern classy interior. Some entertainment for us as the place is dog-friendly ?”

“Tiny place. Great coffee. Limited but delicious breakfast options. Some pastry and some bagels. Loved mine, with avo, lemon and chilli. In the northern quarter.”
