We call in here pretty much probably 4 or 5 times a season and it never lets us down. You can book although give plenty of notice as it is so popular. If you turn up unannounced you could be in for quite a wait as people queue out of the door! There are many reasons why people are prepared to do this. The restaurant itself is wonderful and full of history. The staff are superb and really friendly and professional and happy to advise you on the food. The food itself is brilliant. Not your average Indian restaurant this ! For breakfast I have the chicken mince done with livers and chilli. It comes with toasted barm cakes and is absolutely excellent. Our other dishes of chicken tikka and lamb. Biryani were also excellent. It's always stings a bit that the bottles of kingfisher are over £8, but this is a minor quibble in what is always a great experience.

What a fantastic meal in really exclusive surroundings. The menu unlike most indian restaurants we have visited but the choices were fabulous. Would certainly recommend this restaurant fora visit and now top of our list for Manchester Indian.

Everything about the restaurant was amazing. Food, service, atmosphere and venue were all excellent. We were a party of 6 that between us ordered a wide variety of small plates and mains that were all delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.

First time at a Dishoom. Food and friendly service made it a memorable dining experience! Def recommend this chain of restaurants. Even the decor was fun and quirky in a beautiful building.

I ate at Dishoom this evening and had an absolutely fantastic meal, certainly the best Indian I have eaten in Manchester. The food is refreshingly different to the standard Indian restaurant fare. I had a murgh malai and the chilli broccoli salad, the chicken was moist and tender and the salad was vibrant and tasty, both thoroughly enjoyable and good value. The drinks were disproportionately expensive and less good value than the food but overall a great dining experience and highly recommended.

Whilst the food was tasty, the plate it was served on was cold and the food arrived at a luke warm temperature. Which meant it was stone cold before I was finished. When we asked for a hot plate the staff were astonished and said it was not possible The atmosphere was good and the place was clean and tidy.

Not often I write but just had to say what incredible staff you have working there. We were a group of 8 with a 2 hour wait ahead of us but they very kindly squeezed us in in a 1.5 hour window they had and even though it was a short window, the staff couldn’t have been any nicer and the food couldn’t have been any more delicious. Definitely going back and it’s worth the wait! Just had to add I don’t love Indian food but even I found it delicious and not too spicy!

It had been a few years since we last ate here and we forgot how much we love the food. We decided to be a little different, instead of a main each we elected to go order a selection of small dishes and we were not disappointed. The Keema Pau was great but the star of our choices was the House Chaat, not a highly spiced dish but a wonderful combination of flavours.

The Chicken wrap is so good! It’s always one of the best spots to eat in London and I’m so happy they’re here in Manchester as welln

Lovely continuation of a 21st birthday celebration with my 3 daughters. The ambience and service was first class with everything clearly explained - pick at least 3 dishes each - was recommended - and we did, then shared and tasted lots of different dishes between us. Much better than an over facing big curry portion. Nothing not to like here.

I had a special offer for small plates and chai, which I used and added some extra items. Lamb samosa was an awesome portion size for a small plate. Went with the chicken roti for a main, which for the price and portion size was also very filling. Delicious. The chai? Well, it’s Dishoom… it was great. The visit overall could have been just a transactional restaurant lunch. But my server Bez made it a delightful time out from the office.

We had a fantastic experience at Dishoom. It is wonderfully comforting to see a queue when you arrive at a restaurant and as it was a Tuesday night I expect booking is advisable at all times. The food didn’t disappoint. It is obvious that significant effort has gone into the menu and many of the dishes have stories behind there choice. The menu is extensive but manageable and our waitress was extremely helpful, also making it into a special night for the four of us; old friends who appreciate a special experience significantly adds to our too infrequent get togethers. The building, the decor, the busy atmosphere and energetic staff coupled with the many varied tastes, assault the senses. It left us all spinning. This restaurant is not to be missed.
