The hotel was great, it had a restaurant/bar that served good food, service was really good. The room was very nice, warm and comfortable.Parking is available on site but you have to pay for it.The hotel is walking distance from the center of Manchester which was handy. Overall excellent and would recommend it

Stayed at the Victoria and Albert hotel this week along with colleagues. From the minute I checked in to the minute I checked out, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.Check in was very easy, and was welcomed by the friendliest staff you could wish to meet.My room was spacious and immaculately clean. The bed was one of the comfiest I have slept on, and wish I could have taken it home with me.In the large bathroom, I had everything I required - fluffy towels, as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash supplied.Evening meals and breakfasts were top quality - choice of full English, continental as well as a menu where you could order omelettes etc.Every member of staff I encountered were professional and tentative.I must give a special shout out to Samuel (breakfast) and Georgina. These employees were amazing and a credit to not just the Hotel, but to the Marriott brand!I will most definitely be returning- whether for business or pleasure!

We had a great time staying at the Victoria and Albert Manchester Marriott. The hotel itself is lovely and the rooms are remodeled and fresh. Our room had 2 floors with 2 bedrooms and a living space. So lovely! There is so much charm and beautiful red brick. They have decorated for Christmas and the entire hotel is festive. The location is amazing and a short walk to the City center and great shopping and restaurants. Breakfast is in a lovely restaurant that overlooks the River Irwell. They also serve cocktails in the evening. We are also only 15 minutes from the Manchester United stadium, which is a plus. We had a great experience here!Rooms: Remodeled, modern rooms.Safety: We felt super safe during our entire visit, even walking at nightWalkability: Super easy to walk to the city center and great restaurants.

The room was very spacious only downside was that one of the windows would not open at all.The breakfast was really goodBut the only thing that put a damper on this stay was thatI had an item missing from my room and the management team did not resolve this issue or even apologised at all

We had an enjoyable stay. The room was lovely and well equipped; the breakfasts were substantial with lots of variety. The staff in general were friendly, but when we had an issue with the cost of an extra night, frustratingly I had to explain the problem multiple times at reception, there was never a manager on site, and no one had authority to make a decision. The hotel location was perfect for us and the staff were on hand to order taxis etc.

The hotel room has a rustic appearance with wooden beams and brick walls. My room was clean, cosy and the bed was very comfortable. The furnishings are of high quality. The reception staff were very helpful and helped me out when I lost track of time and got a bit late for checkout.

I met a friend here, she was visiting from Germany on business. She stayed here and was very happy. My wife and I just ate here. The food was very reasonably priced, the staff were welcoming and knowledgeable about every dish on the menu. I would definitely go again.Safety: We felt safe on the twenty minute walk from Picadilly station on a Saturday evening.Walkability: Easy to get to, no hills.Food & drinks: Very reasonable for a city hotel.

Stayed here for one night. 3 adults in one room which had two double beds. The room was good enough for our needs but not great value at £230 a night. We won’t rush back. It’s not any sort of high end hotel that you’d expect from a Marriott at that price. The staff were great and the room/hotel had character but we felt a bit overpriced.Great location for walking into Manchester though. Easy to drive to aswell. With public parking needed but seemed plenty nearby (extra cost though). The breakfast was excellent. Great buffet style with a cooked menu to chose from too.The checkin was awfully slow, computers they said! But annoying after a 3hr drive. The hotel car park very small and therefore full, so we used New Elm Rd just round the corner, overnight stay (secure inside a unit) cost £15.So good enough but not remarkable enough to rush back at the prices they charge.Biggest let down was there is no fitness room/gym. What you can have is a free pass to the nearby Bannatynes but that ain’t the same.

The hotel canceled our reservation because we arrived 36 hours late even though we had messaged the hotel through the app and physically called the hotel 8 hours prior to arrival that reservations were still good. We only found out when we arrived at the hotel that our reservations had been canceled and rooms given to other customers. completely unprofessional behavior.

Went there for a drinks reception. Red wine (a Merlot) was poor, the white wine was not chilled.Pleasant spacious room.

Two of us stayed for four nights in September 2023 and were very satisfied. The rooms were good with the one caveat [increasingly common in hotels unfortunately] that the window could not be opened to let in fresh air. I resorted to propping my door open to let in fresh air from the corridor where a window was open, but this was not allowed at night for security reasons. The breakfast experience was faultless - plenty of choice, friendly service, and also plenty of room to sit. We did not eat dinner at the hotel, but had a drink each evening which was also very pleasant. Not too sure why there are so many television screens in the bar area - you could avoid these by sitting on the terrace area, but still heard the football commentary in the evenings. Thank you.

Only stayed one night on a deal break. Lovely spacious hotel, very comfortable rooms, great breakfast. Bit out of the way and lots of building work going on all around so unfortunately was woken at 6am by work commencing. Wouldn't return until building work all done.Rooms: Lovely and comfortable. Just short of full length mirror. Comfy bed.Walkability: About 10/15 mins to centre of Deansgate and slightly up hill.Further to Piccadilly.Food & drinks: Lovely selection at breakfast and spacious and airy dining room with canalside views. Very pleasant.
