Not going again-ever!Enormous queues, two staff. Don't expect your customers to invest in you if you refuse to invest in them.

Great chippy that uses traditional beef dripping to fry in. Always fresh and hot. Great place to sit in and relax.

Service used to be rapid on match day. Not enough staff on now and long queues develop.

The best fish and chips in the land and all the world.

This chippy was very good. I’ve not had proper traditional fish and chips for ages and just fancied it after work. The chippy was really busy, the staff were friendly. Some reviews say otherwise but they were all nice and friendly to me. I didn’t realise how expensive fish and chips had become but I guess it’s the same everywhere. The shop was busy and there seemed to be a lot of regulars and locals there which I think gave a nice community feel to the place. Sadly there is a lot of gentrification happening in the area. I would definitely visit again.

I patiently stood at the counter waiting to get served for 15 mins, there wasn't anybody queueing in front of me, but not one person explained why I was stood waiting. the staff were wrapping food orders and serving in the seating area constantly. there were 4+ staff and I was completely ignored by all of them. They were extremely busy, but are walk ins expected to wait so long without a courteous word. I eventually walked out.

Ordered at 17:45pm a large lamb donner kebab, a large chicken Shiesh wrap, medium cod and large chips, all arrived at 19:45pm, 2hrs after it was ordered. The food was barely luke warm. Original delivery time said 18:25pm, I managed to get through about 7pm to be told they were busy but it would be with us in ten mins. I received a notification at 19:25pm to say it had been delivered, I gave it 10mins then rang again, whilst still on the phone waiting for an answer, the delivery driver turned up at 19:45pm, so I put the phone down. We won't be using them again!

Called in last week with a colleague from Manchester, parking a bit tight but managed it Delicious pie, chips, peas served with dandelion and burdock pop, takes me back to my childhood. Spotless eating area, very friendly staff The place was busy and this speaks volumes Well worth a trip you won’t be disappointed

We’d had takeaway before and decided to eat in late afternoon before the rush. Really enjoyed fish (haddock we think) and chips with mushy peas, cuppa and a decent latte from a machine. Place was quite busy and spotlessly clean

It's just disgusting.it's called Mr Mac's now but they still want to use Tony's stadium chippy which it isn't and had a very good name with fantastic food. We've been here a few times (3) since it changed hands and the food is consistent.... rubbish and tasteless, we always have fish and chips, the fish today was awful, it was watery, no taste, really didn't taste like cod, and the chips.. underdone and just awful. They've put a sign up saying 'don't have a go at the staff about the prices then they give some dubious examples of price increases, They've also taken down the price list.I know this place only gets busy on match days but when you do come to the Etihad STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. There are better fish and chip shops within a short distance!!!!

I used to really love this place, generous portions, nicely cooked fish but this has all changed now, wholesale prices rising etc... very small portions, small fish, it's really not worth it. We all know potato prices rise and they are very quick to put up their prices, when potatoes are rock bottom prices do chip shops ever reduce prices.... NO. So i don't have any sympathy for them right now. they are going to price themselves out of business, there is one woman there who cooks the food who is just plain miserable, tattoos everywhere and a terrible cook, i don't know what it might ever take her to smile, but i've never seen it happen. Reduce your staff size not your portion sizes.
