Great food. But...Over 2 hours wait for our food! All I got when I rung the first time was that it's left sir. Then the second time I rung 20 mins later it's just left now sir and that all our orders are late sir.I told them it's the last time I part with the thick end of £100 with them again and I got a sarcastic, ok sir. Thank you sir.I understand things go wrong but this is a complete and utter piss take.

Excellent food. The restaurant is really interesting. It's a converted old pub. There's a beautiful multi fuel stove. Lovely friendly service and great atmosphere.

3rd visit. Clearly friendly and a place for the locals (ask about the slow cooked lamb for regulars) cater for vegetarians well with flavoursome dishes. We substituted 2 dishes on our Thali but was charged extra. Didn't quibble, toilets need an upgrade.

We ate at this restaurant around 20 odd years ago and were totally underwhelmed. Then tried a takeaway about 5 years ago and still disappointed. Chefs change, management changes but we gave them another go tonight (Sept 2023) and flavour and depth were really non existent (except for the spiced poppadom which, although slightly burnt, was the best thing!). Both of us have lived in London, Birmingham and Stoke so experienced some great curries over 30 years ago. We are not impressed by big chunks of potato and onions with a mild sauce. If you have a curry kit or make your own then please do, as it is much cheaper and more nourishing than this. £40.00 for two what a rip off. Three strikes and that’s it for us !Vegetarian options: It was full of potatoes and onion and my husband’s meat curry had more mushrooms in than mine? Really unimaginative and half hearted attempt. Very disappointing.

Went for a family meal to celebrate exam results. Fantastic meal, nothing too much trouble. Best Indian meal for miles around. Would 100% recommend Mala.

The staff are lovely people and the food always fresh, delicious and generous. Cannot fault it.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetation option and can also cater for vegans. The meat options are also beautifully prepared and delicious.Kid-friendliness: They are always so kind and welcoming to my children and my boys are very fond of them.
