We were greeted by welcoming staff who served us efficiently. Food was tasty and plentiful. We would definitely recommend a visit for good food, lovely staff and football banter. We will visit again when in the area and definitely when LFC win the League next season! Thanks for a fun memorable meal and wishing everyone at The Indian

The service was utterly outstanding, drinks ordered and within minutes of being seated our starters came out. The food was wonderful, enjoyed by all. Checks were done to see if we were happy with the meal and if we required anything else , which is always the sign of excellent hospitality. I can confidently say that you would have good service and a fabulous meal, highly recommend the Eagle and Child.

I had a pizza that was goats cheese, caramelised onion, pesto and walnuts and it was by far the best pizza I have tasted in a very very long time. Hubby had a calzone and was equally happy. Quality ingredients, cooked to perfection. The restaurant is so rustic and atmospheric, the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable, I have allergies and our server Emily checked everything was ok for me. She was so nice, chatty and fun, all staff clearly love their work as the whole team were fabulous. We highly recommend Tre Ciccio 10/10. Thanks for a great evening

It was quite busy, as to be expected on a Saturday morning, only feedback would be for either some signage or the staff to let customers know when/how to get a table, as there was no indication if we had to request a table or just wait for one to become free.

Riding Head Ln, Ramsbottom, BuryWe have been visiting The Fisherman’s Retreat for many years, and even since moving overseas, it remains a place we always try to return to whenever we’re back. It’s one of those rare spots that holds real meaning, and every visit reminds us why we’ve missed it.
Coming back as a group of friends to celebrate felt special. The atmosphere was as warm and welcoming as ever, making it easy to relax and enjoy being together. The food was consistently excellent; wholesome, generous, and full of flavour ….exactly the kind of comforting, well-cooked dishes you look forward to after time away. The selection of beers and wines was just as good, offering something for everyone and perfectly suited to a long, unhurried meal.
The staff were, as always, fantastic: friendly, attentive, and genuinely pleased to see returning faces. There’s a sense of familiarity and care that makes you feel at home, even after time away.
And then there’s the view. Looking out across the moors is simply unbeatable—nothing can top it. No matter how far we travel or how long we’re away, that view never loses its impact and always feels like a welcome back.
The Fisherman’s Retreat continues to be our must-visit whenever we return home. With great food, excellent drinks, wonderful staff, and an unforgettable setting, it remains the perfect place to celebrate and reconnect.

Our main reason for the visit was the Slattery Hot Chocolate Easter Egg which was nice, but I think I was more impressed with the chicken burger, crispy with a nice sweetness to it, and the loaded fries, as well as the spiced chai! Plus the staff were friendly and nice too! Would definitely come back to try out some more of their menu!

No cheap and nasty catering sausages here. These were a treat that any local butchers would be proud of. The potato cakes were beautiful too.
A really cosy warm welcome & atmosphere inside and it's dog friendly too. Unfortunately my dog is a knob and wouldn't settle so we ate outside where there's plenty of tables that don't wobble and you can secure your dog if it is being a bellend.
A great place to stop off before heading out on a local walk or shopping trip. Highly recommend, we will be back.... without the dog!

A huge shoutout to the new manager, he’s incredibly polite, down to earth, and makes the best Porn Star Martini I’ve had in a long time! Every dish we ordered was delicious and full of flavour. Freshly made when we ordered so it was all fresh and hot when it arrived at our table! Our 5 year old absolutely loved the noodles and already wants to return! We will definitely be returning and highly recommend! We have been coming to Kan’s for two decades - growing up locally, this was my family’s go to takeaway for a Saturday night. I am impressed every single time. The staff are always friendly and attentive, the service is fast and efficient, and the food is authentic, delicious, and of excellent quality. Additionally, the portions are very generous, with each container being full to the top. My personal favourite dishes are the salt and pepper chicken and Singapore vermicelli.
