Owens Restaurant & Bar
10 Railway St, Ramsbottom, BuryBeen a few times for evening meals which were lovely and more recently for breakfast. I’ve been with friend groups as well as family and as a couple. I had the eggs and my husband the full breakfast with a latte and cappuccino. All was lovely presented and hot. The eggs were cooked perfectly with choice of toast and the breakfast filling and well thoroughly enjoyed by my husband. We were a walk in for breakfast with people coming and going whilst we were there with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Staff are attentive but not pushy. A great place to spend as a couple , family or with friends.

Indian Lounge Restaurant
51 Bolton St, Ramsbottom, BuryLovely place with great service only one small thing for us was completely unsure why poppadoms would be £1 each and the Chutney trays £4.20. The reason why we didn't order any. Double the cost of anywheres else.

Eagle & Child Inn
3 Whalley Rd, Ramsbottom, BuryFriends of my parents ran this pub 1975 to 1977 and we used to cross the Pennines and visit. I was only 6 to 8 years old but have vivid memories of these visits. So it was lovely to visit 47 years after my last visit. Back then, the pub overlooked a field and the new motorway which wasn't yet completed. The pub is totally different to how I remember it with the bar on the other side and the old games room with its dartboard long gone! It's beautifully done out. Outside there's a bar begging for warm summer evenings and there's even a teepee!!The staff were welcoming and my pint hit the spot.An enjoyable visit.

Room 54 Ramsbottom
54 Bridge St, Ramsbottom, BuryA lovely little cafe in Ramsbottom. We had the veggie breakfast which was lovely with the perfect poached egg, veggie black pudding, beans, grilled tomato, mushrooms and toast, all for £8.25. Anne and Mark were very friendly and helpful. My only suggestion would be to substitute one black pudding for a veggie sausage instead of 2 black puddings, then it would be perfect. The hot chocolate with marshmallows was also great.I'll definitely be calling again.Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian and vegan options including a full vegetarian breakfast.

The Fisherman’s Retreat Ltd
Riding Head Ln, Ramsbottom, BuryI discovered this place around 30 years before it had the big extensions and my first impression was ‘wow’. Since it was extended and modernised by opinion has increased to ‘spectacular’. The setting of the restaurant is special and if you want to impress someone then this is the place to go. The food is homemade and it’s simply delicious. As I mentioned the restaurant has been massively extended since my first visit but the ambiance has not changed in that it still feels like a family restaurant rather than a typical chain restaurant. The staff are always polite, smiling and very helpful. They are also very professional and knowledgeable about the food on the menu and how it’s made. Each time i’ve been, the food has been served pretty quickly and even the garnishes served with the main meals are seasonal and utterly delicious. I always say you get what you pay for and the steaks are full of flavour, cooked to perfection and locally sourced beef. I’ve also seen customers invited into the kitchen to see how the meat is stored which shows that the owners have pride in their business and proud of what they do.The only downside is that more people around Greater Manchester don’t know about this place as I would describe it as ‘if you know, you know’. I honestly believe that this place is as good as the so called best restaurants in Manchester. To summarise, every single detail about this restaurant is fantastic and I have no problem with having a 60-mile round trip to enjoy the experience. It’s simply amazing and the best of the best!

Ramsbottom Social
50 Bolton St, Ramsbottom, BuryWe came here for the 'small plates' menu at teatime on a Saturday. My wife is vegetarian so we kept to those options, and had some lovely dishes including patatas bravas and a dahl. Everything was full of flavour. The staff were excellent and the mood there was just right, with some great background music at just the right volume.

Frank's Burgers
9 Bolton Rd W, Ramsbottom, BuryFriends raved about this place. I usually hate going to a place on a friends review because I am so picky. However it was every bit as good. Spectacular burger. Thought into meatyness, sweetness and flavours within the OG with cheese. Knockout quality meat. Right thickness and huge flavour. In my top 3 burgers of all time. I can’t rank the other 2. Defo 5*

Grind & Tamp
45 Bridge St, Ramsbottom, BuryA very nice little cafe in Ramsbottom with a good selection of brunch and breakfast items. The food was well presented and tasted pretty good, but knocking off a point as all 4 of our poached eggs were overdone - the yokes weren't runny, but the American style bacon was tasty ?Overall, a nice atmosphere and they've tried to make the best of a small space, so you might feel a little cramped and close to others if all the tables are taken.

Spice Garden
6 Square St, Ramsbottom, BuryWe came Friday night for a birthday meal and absolutely loved it. We all had starters and main courses and every dish was delicious! We like spicy, though if you don’t, certainly go for mild not medium. Very authentic taste, I’ve been to Thailand and love everything from lemongrass, sweet basil, ginger and the taste was great. Nice ladies serving our meals. All in all a great night and would recommend. (Our dishes ranged from Thai red curry, sweet basil with chicken, holy basil with duck, king prawn dishes!!)

San Leonardo
49 Bolton St, Ramsbottom, BuryLovely midweek meal I had checked out reviews which were good and the meal did not disappoint. We were greeted at the door by a very nice gentleman and by a very warm restaurant. I can’t stand eating in a cold atmosphere so this added bonus points to the evening. We shared a garlic bread with cheese to start. Delicious, just glad we didn’t order one each. It was delicious, thin base and lashings of garlicky cheese. My hubby had seafood tagliatelle and I had seafood risotto. Beautiful and good portion size. Hubby finished with a crème brûlée. He said it was first class. Very reasonable prices. 2 drinks each and it was £70.

Stop-Inn
28 Bolton St, Ramsbottom, BuryI rarely eat kebabs, but a few years back, I visited this place and it left a lasting good impression that I couldn't fault. Recently, I decided to give it another try, and I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed the donner kebab. It was nice and fresh, just as I remembered. The staff were friendly and chatty, adding to the pleasant experience. I'll definitely be returning in the future. In my opinion, it's the best kebab in Ram!Parking: The nearest place is the council car park, which is a bit of a walk away past the Jug.

Oscars Restaurant
Bury Old Rd, Walmersley, Ramsbottom, BuryFour of us had afternoon tea here last month - it was excellent. Sandwiches and savouries were more interesting than the usual fare - eg mozzarella on brioche, a delicious warm slice of sausage roll. And finger sandwiches of course. The scones were generously sized with clotted cream and jam. We had seven little cakes each - a delightful mini strawberry tart, a triangle of chocolate brownie, lemon drizzle, macaron, plus others.I've been back again this month and it was just as lovely. The staff are very welcoming, the surroundings are pleasant and the vintage china was an unusual touch.Dietary restrictions: On both occasions one person has a restricted diet and each of them was well catered for.

Zaidy's Pizza
14 Bolton St, Ramsbottom, BuryOrdered takeaway. Pizza was so good, very nice and great value for money, only suggestion would be to maybe not put paper under the cheesy chips. All the cheese was stuck to the paper and I’m pretty sure I ate some of it, couldn’t eat the rest as trying to pull the chips apart was pulling bits of paper off with it. Other than that, the deep pan pizzas were great

Kans
55 Bridge St, Ramsbottom, BuryWe've been ordering from here for 35 years and the food has always been amazing, never had a bad meal. It's our 'go to' place for Chinese food and regular chippy food. The best Singapore fried rice and Chicken satay. Chips are amazing as is everything else. Service is quick and friendly. Cash only, but for great food, who cares. Love this place.
