Been a few times for evening meals which were lovely and more recently for breakfast. I’ve been with friend groups as well as family and as a couple. I had the eggs and my husband the full breakfast with a latte and cappuccino. All was lovely presented and hot. The eggs were cooked perfectly with choice of toast and the breakfast filling and well thoroughly enjoyed by my husband. We were a walk in for breakfast with people coming and going whilst we were there with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Staff are attentive but not pushy. A great place to spend as a couple , family or with friends.

Absolutely amazing food . Great standard of Ingredients used . Couldn’t find fault with anything . The service was also outstanding . So reasonable priced too . You would expect to pay a lot for the quality of food we got .. Certainly be returning soon .. Best eatery in the area by far!!!

Friends had the Sunday roast deal and raved about it. I chose just to have a small starter as my main meal. Smoked salmon and prawn cocktail fish - it was lovely. Excellent staff and customer service.

We arrived at Owens restaurant on the 19th December at midday. Was greeted by a lovely man very friendly. We was taken to our table upstairs upstairs was very nice and clean. Lovely deco. We was served my a lovely lady for our drinks.Followed my a young guy who took our order. We went with fish and chips and one meat pie. Really delicious and good presentation.We was not rushed in-between courses. Our desert was sticky toffee putting (10out of 10)2 hours later we asked for the billFeeling full and happy.I would highly recommend this restaurant definitely coming back.Thanks Owens restaurant for a lovely afternoon ❤️

We always come here when we have a family get together, the food is always good and the service likewise.My dad takes quite a bit of time to order but the staff are patient and treat him with both dignity and respect - or to put it another way, how they would like themselves or their family members to be treated, how busy the restaurant is makes no difference to the level of service received, it's always excellent.Kid-friendliness: The staff talk to the kids as they bring their drinks & food out and serve it to them rather than just passing it across making them feel like part of the group.

We went to try the Christmas menu last Weds night and even though we hadn't booked they managed to serve it up for us. 3 courses for £25. Absolutbeautiful food. We have been visiting Owens ever since they opened all those years ago, and it never disappoints. Lovely staff.

Owing to its far from enticing exterior, it was only recently that my first visit to this establishment - for breakfast with a friend - occurred. This was a truly excellent occasion and so booked a table for dinner with another friend for a few days later (about which this review is focused). My friend and I travel quite widely into southern districts of Lancashire for a good dinner, and there are plenty of excellent establishments to suit our tastes. However, we now also have another first rate venue, but right on my doorstep - Owens! We enjoyed three courses all of which were quite wonderful and the attention of the staff in taking our orders, in serving the food and ensuring our needs were fully met was excellent. Full marks to Philip and his colleagues. We will certainly be back and I will also introduce more of my friends to the delights of this establishment.
