We were directed to go " next door" to the Beefeater for our breakfast which was served up the (many) stairs, no lift but dining area very pleasant with view across the riverBreakfast self service for fresh fruit salad croissants cereals yoghurt fresh fruit etc plus tea coffee and orange juice. There was table service for cooked breakfast, to order -- all very good and service excellent + well set up for the day ahead !!Rooms: Rooms of a high standard and v clean with lovely view across the river. However we had to advise staff that single bed was not made up upon arrival and we did have several problems with key fob not working but staff were helpful and sorted these problems in reasonable timeWalkability: Hotel is short walk away from Salford Quays tram stop + about 10 mins stroll to hotel -- just lookout for the pretty white lights on riverside as these are outside of the Beefeater which is next door to the Premier InnPlus The Lowry and shopping outlet is about 15 mins walk away so both these and Manchester city centre are very accessible and easy to find and get toFood & drinks: There is a bar at the Beefeater plus there is a vending machine in the Premier Inn foyer for drinks and snacksThere are tea and coffe facilities in hotel room but there are top up milk sugar tea + coffee on the wall to freely top these up ( they just never give you enough !! )Noteworthy details: See food and drink+ yes l would gladly stay here again and would be even better in late spring/ summer when you can sit outside by the river

Gammon and chips with peas was good: thick, moist gammon & hot, crispy chips. But they didn't have the red wine I wanted off the menu (Cabernet Sauvignon) and the one I chose (Rioja) wasn't too good.

[Dec 2023] Served by a proper Mancunian - lovely service. No complaints. Would visit again.

We went for a meal the mixed grill was very tasty, my husband got a steak, we enjoyed our food the sirloin Steak was tender and juicy cooked medium rare. The waitress gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted. We will be going back in the new year.

1st time visit to a Beefeater for years, chose this one due to location of the Quays. We went for the set meal Festive menu, a good variety and plenty to choose from. We had 2 starters, a chicken burger and roast dinner main then 2 desserts. The food was hot, very nice and good portions. The service was a let down, quite slow... this wasn't the waitresses fault, I think more of the place being under staffed. I've given 4 stars but would have opted for 3.5 if poss.

Staff member Mark was serving on the bar down stairs. He was very polite , friendly and worked very well under pressure serving us and other customers considering how short staffed it was with the restaurant upstairs being fully booked . I’m afraid to say we had to wait almost an hour and half for our food and even had to cancel our desserts .

I visited here for a meal and it was delicious. Booked online beforehand but very attentive staff when I arrived also, which made the whole experience even better!

Restaurant, I cannot fault! Every member of staff are very friendly and helpful and are able to accommodate extra requests (we had our son join us for breakfast). Food was delicious and perfect portion size. However, the bar area was a total let down. The first night the sole barman rang last orders before 10.30pm. On the 2nd night, a Saturday, after spending all day shopping and visiting the Christmas markets we were greeted at the bar by being told "we've rang last orders so this will be your last drink"! This was, again, before 10.30pm! We felt, both nights as though we were keeping them from something more important! By 10.45pm all the beer valves had been removed and were being soaked, the tills had been cashed up and those of us in the bar were left unhappy! My husband and I are in the industry and we're absolutely baffled and appalled! Unacceptable!

The service was very good and the staff were extremely friendly The food not as good as other beefeaters but the staff were great and gave free desert in place of items etc. Overall the experience was good but perhaps wouldn't go again unless staying in the premier inn.Rooms: The rooms were ok, a little more dated now than other premier inns.Safety: Felt safeWalkability: easy to walk to the local metrolink to get into central manchester.Food & drinks: There is a good offer with where you get dinner and breakfast and the food was ok.

Oh dear ! I visited here first quite a few years ago and enjoyed the experience. It was a shock to see that this restaurant is in desperate need of some tender loving care. This Beefeater has definitely not recovered from Covid. We were met very curtly by a young woman who said "sit anywhere, order at the bar when you are ready". OK we chose a table, two of us. The table was bare. In the distance was a cabinet with menus on top. We are not amateur diners so we helped ourselves to menus presuming this was what you're expected to do. Chose our meals ordered and paid at the bar. This paying before you've eaten or drunk anything tickles me. A few minutes later a young women appears and shouts " who are these for ?" It was our starters " 61 " Was the reply. Had sirloin steaks for main. They were just about passable. Needed condiments, after asking for them we were told "they are on the end of the bar help yourself" We are not lazy but having to get up and get your own condiments interrupts the flow of conversation. I realise staffing problems are a great concern in the hospitality industry. However, this Beefeater is the closest to short of cooking the meal yourself experience ever. A mediocre meal at that and not value for money. Credit to the women working on this Tuesday evening they were busy.
