Been here a few times and always had an amazing meal and experience here at botanist. This time after driving for 2 house and brining my partner we had a very disappointing experience and meal. there was 4 of us, we had the Camembert for starter to share it took 30 minutes and was rock solid when it arrived, place wasn’t busy so we complained, then the mains came, 1 sharing kebabs and 2 kebabs. all our chips where under cooked and meet was luke warm. Feel so disappointed after really looking for to a night out in media city with my partner. Would rather have gone to Wagamama next door!!!

This could be one of the worst meals I've had in a very long time. Didn't think there were so many ways to mess up two meals, both Sunday lunches one pot roast lamb very dry and one slow cooked belly pork that was undercooked, carrots advertised as honey glazed were gritty, dry and shrivelled, cold and unglazed, roast spuds were barely warm and soggy, the green veg was both overcooked and undercooked. Was going to have dessert but decided that was probably a silly idea and left. Not a good experience so very disappointing.

We had been to The Coronation Street Tour and eaten out at The Harvester. We wanted to finish our day with a cocktail. We stumbled upon The Botanist. Although busy, the staff let us sit in the conservatory area. The cocktails were not too expensive and we're tasty. Finished our day off at Media City perfectly. I would recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Called the restaurant at about 6:50pm for my 7pm reservation for my daughter's 16th Birthday. Told them I was running about 10 mins late and they were accommodating. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Food hit the spot and my Berry colada was FIRE!Thank you

My partner booked us in for a surprise meal for Valentines day.It was a complete disaster.Firstly there was an overpowering smell of cooking oil which leads me to think the oil in the kitchen isn't being changed as often as it should be!I ordered the Bang Bang Chicken( a dish I love and have eaten many times in different restaurants)which consisted of 5 very small very hard pieces of chicken which was nearly all batter. It was unedible. I will acknowledge it was returned and we were not charged for it.My partner ordered the Hanging Kebab which had to be sent back as it was cold.Sadly what was meant to be a lovely surprise was completely ruined.The young lady who served us was very pleasant attentive and apologetic.Added note. It appears the manager sends a generic reply to your review asking for further details and fails to acknowledge this. Disappointing to say the least !

Worst meal I’ve ever had there! We are regulars and visit often, this time our chicken wasn’t cooked, but was served in batter so we ate some as we have ordered this before not thinking. When my partner checked later on, he confirmed it wasn’t cooked properly. Since Saturday we have been paying for it, as we have both been unwell with what we can only describe food poisoning. Will never visit this specific restaurant again
