Forst time visiting after seeing friends in the area. Great local pub with a real local vibe. Lovely to see so many enjoying their evening with their 4 legged friends.

Visited a few weeks ago for the first time for a birthday treat.Went for the midweek set menu, 2 courses £18.95 or 3 courses £21.95. Good variety on the menu, ample choice. My wife had lasagne and I had chicken curry main half/half rice & chips with a naan bread, both absolutely top quality and good portions. Also 2 starter's and 2 desserts, everything was fantastic.

Had a meal here on Mother’s Day. We had mains and desserts, all clean plates, cannot fault it. Lovely food, great service. Highly recommended!

We were a party of 5 visiting on a Friday night at 6.30. It was very busy but we were served fairly quickly and our meals were served all together. We all had something different to eat and all meals were excellent and tasty. Good portions and came piping hot. Would recommend the Waggon and Horses.Parking: We did have to wait for a parking space and one of our party had to park on the road. This was at 6.30 on a Friday night.

Called in just after 2pm on a cold Monday afternoon and was really surprised to see how busy the place was. This is definitely not a ‘rough pub’ and in fact it’s the opposite. The pub has a ‘high end’ feel to it and the customers present appear mature, polite and well dressed. The staff were all polite, smiling and friendly and this certainly helps to create a good atmosphere. There was a good selection of food available from the menu and in terms of the meal choice and how the food is cooked, it felt like the food was cooked by a proper chef rather than pre-made and heated up in a microwave. The food itself was delicious and reasonably priced for what was served. In terms of the pub itself, it is very clean and trendy and has a freshness smell to it so credit to the staff for looking after the place. There is an outside beer garden that is well lit with strings of white bulb lights that I can imagine is great to sit outside on a warm sunny night.I spotted painters giving the exterior of the building a new paint job last year and even though the exterior of the building was not dirty, it shows the owners have pride in looking after and maintaining the building to a very high standard.Overall, a very clean and trendy pub that serves excellent food and has a higher class customer base rather than ‘lager louts’ or the alcapops.

Been here before and always enjoyed the food, but today the place was almost empty and the food was not very good at all. We had the Mediterranean Feta bake for starters which really wasn't Mediterranean at all just a hard bit of cheese in a bowl of oily onions and cold, it certainly did not taste like it had been baked or Mediterranean. For my main I had Chicken Peppercorn which was sent back because the food was cold, then when they brought a new portion it was a lot smaller than the original and was very dry with 3 batons of carrot and shrivelled green beans, (another table sent their food back which was fish and chips because it was cold also whilst we were awaiting mine to return from the kitchen).Overall it was a very poor experience, the only good thing was the coffee.Don't think I will be visiting again anytime soon.

After a long period of not eating here, decided to take a chance and what a disappointment. Initially went into the place and was asked to walk through to the bar whilst the diary was checked. The place was ‘dead’ so felt completely unnecessary to check the diary in all honesty. Sat at the table and advised certain food had ran out. How!? This was a Tuesday afternoon. So really poor start to be advising food had ran out from circa 4.00 pm. Only ordered burgers and for the price were really poor. Bread was cold, almost as if they’d been thawed, which made the overall burger cold. Squirty / cheese slice used. Why not fresh cheese? Frozen chips served which were average at best. Salad on the side was fine. Not much wrong you can do with a salad. Didn’t complain as the service wasn’t great throughout really and was ready to just leave by the end. Such a shame and what a fall from high standards set when we first came around 5 years ago. Used to serve quality bar platters, quality homemade chips and generally great homemade food.
