My favourite coffee house. The coffee here is the best I've tasted, as is the range of cakes on offer. The atmosphere is very relaxed and cosy, and the staff are lovely. It's not as manic and busy as the other major coffee places. The coffee is far superior, too.

Newly refurbished Rhode Island Stockport great coffee shop but but barista does not know how to make hot coffee even he does not except it is not hot!... Nothing worst then drinking not hot cup of coffee. I urgently asking management please make sure your staff knows how to make good hot cup of coffee…otherwise great little gem in middle of Stockport…

Called on a wet cold day late December and what a haven from the weather. Warm inside and a friendly courteous welcome. Seating upstairs also so don't be put off it looks busy. Very tasteful period interior. The drinks and cakes were beautiful and cannot be faulted. This was a very pleasant experience.

Great to have RIC back on the Underbank was one of the only good commercial coffee shops in the area at one time. So pleased it’s back in what is a lovely building and has a great staircase. The staff and manager are really professional and lovely.
I'm so glad to see this lovely cafe open again, and the refurb that has been done is to high standard . Great coffee and friendly staff.

Friendly staff, good prices, comfy atmosphere (warm, lots of places to sit, music at a decent volume). I sat and read for a few hours with ease. :-)

Went in the other day and ordered a cup of tea, was served by moss. He served me out of date milk and I came back in to tell a member of staff about this. Staff member Megan took the tea off me and made me a fresh one checked the milk and threw the out of date milk in the bin, apologised profusely and offered me a cake for the inconvenience. She was amazing glad to see someone in there knew what they were doing…

I nipped in for a bite to eat and quick coffee this afternoon on my lunch break and was appalled to see the way the 'manager' treated his staff. There was a long queue upon my arrival and one of the baristas was doing her best to move the line along a quickly as possible, I believe her name was Megan, and the 'manager' came along and in front of all the customers shouted in her face. This was, in my opinion, no way to speak to a member of staff, who was only trying to do her best to quicken up the Dinner-Time rush. I then sat down with my coffee and shortly after saw her getting escorted out which I can only assume was a bizarre and unwarranted firing. If that is the case I personally will not be visiting again and I am sure any other customers who witnessed this obscene occurrence would be doing the same.
