Extremely disappointed. Ordered food from just eat and unfortunately my battery died. When i turned my phone on i had four missed calls at 23.19, I called back at 23.22 and was greeted by a delivery driver with the worst attitude ever. He stated he had been waiting ten minutes and could not find my address- the house is on a main road. He refused to drop my food off and kept stating he could not find me- not being funny but when was having a phone a requirement or ordering a takeaway particularly when the full address is provided and we live on a main road?! Absolutely shocking service no empathy whatsoever and just kept telling me to cancel the order. Disgusted.

A cosy and nice atmosphere with flavourful food.Good portion sizes. The starters weren’t very grilled and were sort of just heated up but acceptable. The naan bread is lovely, as is the rice. The daal was very watery with a soupy consistency. Difficult to eat and served in a dish but tasty. We had the lamb tikka nawabi and they cooked it without the green chillies to our preference and it’s extremely delicious. Meat is not dry and has and amazing depth of flavour to it. Highly recommend and will be back for more.Thank you for the extra poppadum but one comment - don’t rush service please!

The family have gone to The Deccan since it opened in 1969, all through the years never let us down. Well done to Naz and the staff. The only thing I miss is George's smiling face?

The waiter reached over my plate whilst I was eating his arm almost touching my plate to collect an item from my friend next to me. This is rude and unprofessional. The toilets were unkept only lighting in one cubicle out of three we had to use our phone touches for light. The hand washing water was cold no hot water, no soap and the hand dryer does not work. I don't think I would dine in again but would definitely get a take away as we could not fault the food came hot and delicious.

Staff looked bored, not the friendliest. I lost count of how many times we asked for the dessert menu. Then when we asked for the bill, we got the dessert menu!. Some of the parties' food was nice, some complained. Naan was soggy, chips werr forgotten. It was expensive for mediocre food. Downstairs toilets were dark and looked like something out of a horror movie.

Order was wrong originally, quickly changed and rectified. Clean, quick and great tasting.

Very nice curry. The pickles with the poppadoms were particularly good.

Been going for years. Shame but service was poor. Struggled to pay. Asked twice. No one offered an apology that I had to go to the bar and pay myself. Not gonna come again. Have spent a lot of money here over the years. No one seem to give a care about customers apart from one lovely man.

Moved to Urmston recently and we are trying to find our go to Indian restaurant. We have tried the spice mafia which wasn't great. We had a few recommendations for this place. Being a Friday we ventured out and walked passed the Adrak which was really busy onto the Deccan which only had a few diners in. This should have been telling sign. We ordered a mix starter and a chicken Handi, pilau rice and Partha bread all to eat at the same time. The food didn't take long to come the mix starter was actually quite good. The chicken Handi was not good it tasted nothing like the amazing ones I've had in the past. We both left the curry as it wasn't nice at all, I like to try different curries but I feel this places curries are pretty much all the same just different things added to them. The service was ok but at the end we noticed they gave other tables a small shot of Bailey's. The table down from us didn't drink them and as I watched the older gentleman waiter clear their table he then served us the left over drinks. Not a good idea in these times with germs etc being passed so easily. We will not be using this as our go to curry house and the search continues. Let's hope that the Ardak is better as it's next in our list.

Excellent food, I really enjoyed every mouthful. Ambience was also good but lightning is too bright in my opinion.

Despite the restaurant being empty , the food wasnt at it's best, expensive £18.00 for a Biryani, tepid and somewhat lacking in taste. And the service very slow over 15 minutes for a Starter in fact the wrong starters going to those that didn't order them. The highlight was the papadum and the pickles.
