A cosy and nice atmosphere with flavourful food.Good portion sizes. The starters weren’t very grilled and were sort of just heated up but acceptable. The naan bread is lovely, as is the rice. The daal was very watery with a soupy consistency. Difficult to eat and served in a dish but tasty.We had the lamb tikka nawabi and they cooked it without the green chillies to our preference and it’s extremely delicious. The family have gone to The Deccan since it opened in 1969, all through the years never let us down. Well done to Naz and the staff. The only thing I miss is George's smiling face?
The waiter reached over my plate whilst I was eating his arm almost touching my plate to collect an item from my friend next to me. This is rude and unprofessional.The toilets were unkept only lighting in one cubicle out of three we had to use our phone touches for light. The hand washing water was cold no hot water, no soap and the hand dryer does not work. I don't think I would dine in again but would definitely get a take away as we could not fault the food came hot and delicious.
