Not the biggest of weatherspoons but the locals are sound, they may seem intimidating at first but once you get to know them you'll have the time of your life. The food and service are bang on too

The food is pretty standard stuff. The atmosphere and decor is better than the Brocket (the other Wigan Wetherspoons). Staff are friendly and efficient as usual. Basically, for £12, you're not going to get a hot meal and a pint of local beer anywhere else.

Love this place so much . The food is tasty , well cooked and even for the person who asked for rare...cooked to perfection. Good portions for the prices. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Lovely atmosphere , everyone is so friendly and plenty of room for eating and at the bar. Highly recommend and will always be a favourite.

It is ideal to meet up with friends or family.

Called in at 4pm on tuesday. Full of children running about, being noisy. Eating their own food from poundbakery. Parents not bothered as long as they could drink. Where has the rule gone regarding kids can come in only if eating .

As a camera member and a regular to several wetherspoons pubs across the country I have always had good quality Beer Not tonight I would recommend wetherspoons But not Wetherspoons Wigan . Staff are good and friendly but Beer very poor.

There must be a butter shortage, The staff looked surprised when we asked for more, We didn't get any, I asked if there was a butter shortage. Standards have dropped badly here. Lurpak replaced by anchor now reduction in how much you get. My daughters, Halloumi cheese looked like it had been down the mines, I have noticed this with eggs recently too as if the grill is not cleaned, We have been in when rowdy customers have been making a dreadful racket, the language appalling, Singing at the top of their lungs, they are never challenged and diners with children are given an education in foul language, Again they don't care, I have complained but to no avail and it gets worse, Definitely getting worse.

I had dinner here at around 6pm. It was very busy. I ordered a classic burger, which quite honestly I could have had quicker and nicer from McDonalds. The chips were disappointing and the salad was less than I would have got from McDonalds. I also had to wait for about half an hour for my meal, which was disappointing when ir arrived. The burger was very small, could have done better at home, just a few chips (half a dozen's enough for anyone as my grandmother used to say) and a negibilble amount of salad, Macciees would have given us more. The on;y nice thing was the wine. I was disappointed because this place is usually a good place to eat and drink.
