Have just returned from a 70 th birthday meal at Versuvio. We have been here many times before . I don’t know if it’s under new management but the service tonight was terrible. Admittedly it was very busy but on carrival , nobody took our drinks orders , so I had to find someone to get us a drink . Then I had to find someone to take our food order , drinks took ages to arrive. Food took ages to arrive.Garlic bread was forgotten . Nobody checked if we wanted any more drinks , which we did , so I once again I had to stop a waiter to get us drinks . It was as if. nobody knew who was serving who , it was chaos . The only one who knew what she was doing was a young woman with glasses , she was efficient and really lovely. I spent slot of money tonight and wasn’t really happy with our experience. Don’t think I’ll be returning.

Absolutely stunning food, we had octopus oysters and bruschetta to start and it was amazing, the pasta dishes served for mains were out of this world!! The service was outstanding and an all round great feel to the restaurant. Would recommend to anyone who loves seafood or Italian dishes

My wife and I visited Vesuvio for the first time last Saturday. We had a lovely 2 course meal and the food was brilliant. Great menu choice, including small portions and daily specials. Service was brilliant aswell. Couldn’t fault our evening and look forward to returning.

Absolutely superb meal with the wife. A lovely relaxed atmosphere despite the place being super busy- staff just seem to take it in their stride. Food was delicious as was the chilled Gavi di Gavi. Genuinely couldn't fault a thing.

Quite a lovely trip out this evening, the octopus was excellent!!!! Perfectly cooked and with the perfect sides - My sausage and bean starter needed some more flavour but booked well and bread was lovely. Main courses were hitting the spot - plenty portion and perfect tastes and textures - beef cheek was cooked perfectly. Lovely service and environment - we will just have to come back….

Lovely place food very tasty! They need to train on how to make cocktails. We ordered pineapple Daquiris and they came in a martini glass. Pink gin and lemonade came with a cherry !!!

Very enjoyable, relaxed dining experience. From the initial warm welcome, the staff were all very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and the generous portions were great value. Looking forward to next time.

For an Italian restaurant there's hardly any chicken meals. It's mostly red meat and I struggle to eat red meat. I ended up with a lasagna which was delightful. I would have given a 5* for food if the did more chicken meals.
Birthday Treat! Fresh ravioli! Specials board constantly changing great variety. Fillet steak was to die for. Melted in the mouth. We all had a fabulous time.
