Delicious Sunday roast in front of an open fire. Perfect for mothers day.

Had a really lovely meal this week for my mum's 80th. They do a Prix Fixe menu for £20 for 2 courses which was perfect for what we were looking for. The quality of the food was excellent!! Beautifully cooked food and very friendly service. I have so much respect for good hospitality staff and this lady was a pro! Thank you for looking after us and making my mum's birthday lunch so lovely. We will be back x

Lovely food. 2 courses for £19, you can't go wrong. It was really odd eating in the dark, surreal bieng bought a lamp to read the menu but the service was spot on.

A really nice Sunday roast - the pork was particularly good, and the beef was nice too. The soufflé starter is also a must-have, it was absolutely delicious! Friendly staff, but seemed a little bit stretched.

On a foul wet night this Resturant was an oasis of calm and warmth. The greeting was warm and welcoming, we were shown to a discrete table illuminated with REAL candles. The log fire burned merrily, giving both warmth and homely atmosphere. The food and service were faultless, very reasonably priced. An enjoyable experience, we wish to repeat....if only there were more resturants like this!

Lovely food- 2 course menu at £19 for dinner. We had the sea bass or bream (can’t recall) and roast belly of pork. Food was excellent, candlelit atmosphere was lovely, but in particular the 2 members of staff were professional, friendly and charming.

We returned for another delicious lunch at The Bell . We both chose the prawn cocktail which was just great lots of lovely tasty prawns. I followed with the sea bream fillet with Mediterranean vegetables in pesto totally delish! Hubby opted for the steak pie which he was full of meat and flavour. Two courses at £19 what a bargain !

Slow bar service a lot of the time. Good food and atmosphere, nice and cosy bar area.

Booked for lunch on a Sunday on a recommendation and we were very glad we did! We were in the dog friendly bar area with one small dog (there were others!)Food was all delicious and plentiful (two roasts and the beef and veggie pies), staff all lovely and friendly, wonderful atmosphere, decent Aspalls cider on draft. It was very busy (a good sign) so service was a little slow but we could forgive this as everything else was so good - will return!
