We had not visited since the business changed hands - glad we did as improvements have been made.Fish was crisply battered and not at all greasy. Fries were good also. Portions were very generous.The chap messed up our order but apologised and showed good customer relations skills when putting things right.Well worth a visit.

Visited Kingfisher for the first time in about a year and was once again blown away by the wonderful quality of the food and the welcome! Ordered 2 X large cod and a portion of chips to share. The cod portions were really generous (more like whale and chips), the batter was lovely and crispy and the cod was succulent with large flakes. The chips were delicious too! I was acknowledged as soon as I stepped in and as previously, the service was fabulous, professional and friendly. We wouldn't go anywhere else for fish and chips in Alton! Thank you Kingfisher!

One of the best fish and chips around, but I'm marking them down for time wasting.When you're a business, you have an obligation to ensure that your opening times are clear and up to date.I guess they close between 2-4 on a Saturday, but Google says they're open. Very frustrated that I wasted a drive there.

Food was great, worker even gave me a tickle behind the counter. Was slightly disappointed when I went to the toilet and found someone had an accident and it hadn’t been cleaned up. Not sure why there was a spade in the bathroom too?

We decided to have a family takeaway at the nearest place to our house and ordered online. Everything ready in 10 minutes and piping hot. All the food was excellent and the choice varied, we had Cod- sausage- pea fritters- fish cake- chicken burger and chicken poppers and of course chips. Use this takeaway you won’t be disappointed!!!!!

Im not a fish and chips lover, but i can honestly say i wont complain about stopping off and grabbing some food from here. The owner's are so welcoming and chatty. Everything is freshly cooked but its worth the wait and you can see its prepared and cooked with love. The shop is clean and tidy. Definitely recommend ?❤️

I have been told that it was one of the best Fish and Chips in Alton and it couldn't be better. Their service is something else, you can see that this is a job done with passion. Outstanding as the service is the food, I can't complain about anything that we've tried. The place is also organized and clean with enough room to wait for the order inside or outside and still feel comfortable. I'll certainly come back.
