The reason I chose this pub/restaurant was they offered some fantastic vegetarian options for my wife and children. I specifically asked L Crow who said the full vegetarian menu will be available on Mothering Sunday. On the day, we were greeted by a very hostile, grumpy, pushy blonde waitress who said the vegetarian menu was not running. No apology, no care - and that’s how it continued.Very disappointing. Avoid if you can!

Came here with family for a sunday roast, the food was amazing!! I had the roast pork, and some cheesy broccoli which was delicious! And service was great too, especially considering how busy it was, food arrived in a timely manner, we were very well looked after and did not feel rushed. Our waitress was constantly topping up our drinks, and our gravy! However the loos were very cold. I assume that’s down to a heating fault rather than anything else so haven’t let it change the 5 stars.

Thought I would try the Royal Oak and have to say it was great food and really friendly atmosphere. We were served by Shannon and she was so friendly and could not do enough for us. Definitely going back.

Visited this lovely pub on a weekday evening for a family meal. It was quiet with only a few tables but the atmosphere was still good with beautiful table and Christmas decorations. Staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive Food arrived in a timely manner and was delicious. I had a lasagne which was amazing and I would happily have it again. For dessert I had the apple and Berry crumble with custard with my only complaint being it was very hot! Overall great pub and would happily return

Food was piping hot and really lovely. Couldn't fault any of it and the only food left on plates was because the portion was more than the person could manage. Service was excellent and the staff friendly, efficient and attentive. The only criticism, and why I have not given 5 stars, is the pub was very cold and the toilets like an icebox!! It contributed to the reason why we left as soon as we had finished eating/drinking as we needed to get home and in the warm. Nearly forgot, the Christmas decorations in the pub were lovely and welcoming and the garden looked stunning with all the lights.

Very disappointing: the satay chicken was barely warm, insipid and lacked any real satay Tomahawk pork overcooked and mashed potatoes dry and over salted. Don’t try the Uruguay red wine

Warm welcome upon arrival ,sat by the open wood fire they had lit creating a beautiful ambiance, the menu offers lots of options for food I went with a beef roast dinner, it exceeded my expectation, lots of colour on plate all veg was cooked and seasoned well. Definitely will be returning to the Royal Oak for another roast dinner and to try some of there specials they have to offer.

They have a vegan menu so I thought I can have a good vegan meal here. Oh boy I was wrong. I had mushroom soup which was nice with 2 slices of bread.. The soup came with butter. I dared to ask if it vegan as well. The girl who served us went to the kitchen to ask and I overhead the loud conversation when a guy told "oh just tell her it's vegan". I'm lactose intolerant....The falafel burger was very undercooked and mushy. The meal was suppose to come with tzatziki but as its not vegan instead of giving you something else, they just give the very small bowl of chip as standered. My husband had a burger. It was a tiny portion also his burger was burned so badly be didn't finish it even though he was very hungry. The onion rings were okay. We had a drink each and paid £61. Not worth the money. The waiters were fine.

Lovely pub lunch, we had sandwiches which were fresh and we love the support they give to local suppliers. Will definitely return when we are in the area
