Basingstoke's best kept secret - why you ask?I'm sitting here at my desk eating my leftovers from Afrizi, which we visited over the weekend, and I've just finished my lunch feeling the same way I did this weekend.... Stuffed, content and happy. In the 38 years of my rice eating life, I think this is hand down the best rice I've had! This was my first taste of Nigerian food.... and I like it! Correction, I love it.I ordered the 'Jollof Rice & Plantain' which I think was cooked to perfection. The flavours and textures were perfect for my fussy taste buds. The spiciness levels weren’t too hot either. Just right. It's located just by one of the entrances to the shopping centre and the inviting nature of the interior and staff was gratefully appreciated. Thank you guys.As a visitor of Basingstoke, do not leave without eating here. You won’t regret it!

Everything about the experience was AMAZING in Afrizi - ❤️ Nigerian ?? Restaurant ❤️It's worth every single penny. We were in Milestone museum for the half term activities. We are a vegan family of 3.Luckily we came crossed with Afrizi. We love supporting small local businesses and love African beats anyways but we haven’t tried the Nigerian food from the Nigerian hands until then.Friendly and welcoming staff, colourful interior. We had all the vegan options on the menu.My partner and our 2.5 years old baby girl are real picky eaters, both finished their plates, we loved the food. The mentality of the owners is so thoughtful.Serving in the compostable plates, recycling point, it’s just so cool.Gift a tree cards on the tables, it’s a great idea…Tables are all handmade, so unique. Also It was our 4th anniversary, they gifted us white rose, which was really lovely. Finally I will say it was tummy and soul fed experience for us.If I had more stars to give, I would ?

Just incredible food for a great price and a lovely restaurant with super friendly service. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Was mine and a friends first time trying African/Nigerian food so we got a few things off the menu including (and apologies for spellings) jallof rice, poundu/fufu, mutton stew, chicken wings, and lamb chop. All of which came to just around £24 and was MORE than enough but we wanted to try abit of everything. The stews were both so tasty bursting with rich flavours and you could tell it was made with real fresh ingredients. The chicken wings were so succulent and the lamb chop was just incredible. The poundu came out and they asked if I wanted to have a dish to wash my hands in and then brought out a bowl of warm slightly soapy water and plenty of tissues which made it so much easier. Everything was served in compostable containers and they had buns for recycling, glass, and compost which is a really nice touch.

We had delicious puff puffs as a sweet treat, and some delicious Nigerian Tea. The staff were friendly and the vibe was great - we’ll be coming back for lunch!
