We have visited amore at their other locations and been very impressed. Unfortunately, this was not the case at Overton. We waited well over an hour for the main course, it was relatively busy and we wouldn't have had a problem with this had we been informed of the wait or simply a 'sorry for the wait' offered when they did finally arrive with it, neither happened. The pizza was also extremely thick, more like a deep base dominos pizza with very few toppings, and seemed much more American than Italian. Very disappointed in a business we'd come to love and won't be returning.

We chose to eat an appetizer with homemade focaccia, olives and 3 main courses (two steaks and a salmon fillet with a side of potatoes and salad) at this Italian restaurant in Overton. Francesco's welcome, the friendly staff and the truly special environment were the icing on the cake of our experience. Tasty food and plentiful dish! I will definitely come back to eat at this restaurant which makes you feel closer to Italy even if you are in the UK!

Mixed bag. The starter waspoor, comprising frozen prawns and stale bread, but the main course main course was delicious, juicy ribeye steak with very good fries, salad and dolcelatte sauce. Requested a ristretto coffee at the end of the meal at which the Italian waiter looked mystified.

I had booked for four of us but two ladies were ill. Two of us had the set lunch for £12.95. We both chose lasagne as our main course. It was delicious - maybe the best I’ve ever had. We followed that with panacotta with a fruit purée on top. Very delicious. Compared to a pub lunch a few days ago which was more expensive the food at Amore was well cooked, presented beautifully and we didn’t wait long. The service is excellent and the restaurant was cosy. The set lunch price is so reasonable too. I shall certainly return.
We organised lunch at Amore last Saturday for a large (20+ people) group. We can't speak highly enough of how helpful the staff were during the pre-booking of the menu choices, nor how attentive, friendly and helpful they were on the day. To top it all off the food was delicious, plentiful and quickly delivered. This was not our first visit, and probably won't be our last. Highly recommended.Vegetarian options: There were plenty of veggie optionsKid-friendliness: Our 8 year old grandson devoured his huge calzone with relish and the staff were very friendly towards him.
