4 stars mostly for service provided by Daisy and the rest of the team. Busy Sunday afternoon, but never had to wait long for drinks orders or drops to table.\\nFood was OK, carvery for most of the party. Desserts were the highlight, we had most of them on the list between us, no complaints all round.\\n\\nDisabled facilities and access good, ramp available in the entry hall.

Friendly and efficient staff. Spacious room with brilliant shower. Good meal deal. Late check-out was nice too.\\n\\nOn the negative side, it would be nice if someone cleared up the cigarette butts by the entrance now and again!!

We missed carvery so we went here last Sunday and was a bit disappointed on the gravy, quite watery and no taste. It's good I ordered profiteroles sundae ? which made my day.

Went up to get our breakfast and was met by a very miserable chef who didn't even say good morning. He handed my plate to me and didn't mention how hot the plate was. This caused a minor burn to my finger. Very disappointing.

We stopped here for lunch Saturday and after looking through the menu online, thought the restaurant offered a wide range of good looking food, we were also pleased as although we hadn't booked a table, we were able to walk straight in and were seated quickly. However, the place was a bit of a down market hungry horse.... sticky tables and menus, with stodgey food! The waitress was attentive when taking the orders, but didn't write down the drink or food order and therefore she had to repeatedly ask again, what we wanted and then came back with an incorrect drink. I requested a Beef & horse radish wrap and was told - "There are no wraps" - so instead opted for a Mac N Cheese - this arrived in a small breakfast bowl with pin wheel pizza's - the food was very salty and obviously reheated - I ate under half and gave up. My other half ordered a carvery, which looked very over done... This was our first visit and I don't think we will be returning sadly.

I came here with my family for a cheap lunch. We had a wonderful time, the staff were amazing and so helpful. The carvery was fresh and hot! Will return!

Top notch food. We pooped in as I simply couldn’t be bothered to cook!! Having been here before, I knew we could get a quick carvery without having to wait. The beef was really good, as were our vegetables. Nice to see sweetcorn on for a change. Chef was on top form as usual, he does make me laugh and our waitress Holly was just lovely. We will be back soon ?

Had breakfast. Chef’s attitude leads a lot to be desired. I do not think rude is a strong enough word.

We had scampi, chips and peas, all tasted excellent, then had bottomless ice cream for dessert. I have been to the Beach Arms numerous times and have had more good experiences with the food than bad. Also the staff were friendly and helpful.

I am not somebody who leaves reviews but this hotel and restaurant failed so badly that I don’t want anybody else to have the same experience. On the day of the booking I had to cancel one of four rooms I had booked due to a friend having Covid. I called the central reservations team via the Beach Hotel number and cancelled the room 3 hours prior to the cut off. On arriving at the hotel this message had not been conveyed and understandably the staff were unsure of how to proceed. I paid for the three rooms and they gave me the central reservations number ‘in case the fourth room gets charged’. The rooms were clean and sizeable but all smelt like sewage/cabbage. We had dinner in the restaurant and they did fit us last minute on a busy night but didn’t advise they had run out of tartar sauce until we questioned where it was with the fish and chips. On arriving home I noticed that the extra room had been charged to my account. I called central reservations who advised the hotel had taken this payment on 10:30pm the evening I had checked in using the card details I had used to book the rooms. This payment has now been cancelled but I am so angry at the hotel for charging me this in the knowledge I had not checked in to this room. I am also unsure if this was legal use of my account details. They basically lied straight to my face when telling me that the room may get charged by central reservations knowing that they were going to charge it later. Do not trust this hotel.

Totally disgusting food. Staff were great, but they didn't no what a pint is. Vegetables were full of water.

Stayed in the adjacent accommodation and ate at the pub as part of an organised group trip. Had dinner one night - fish & chips. You'd think frozen chips only had to be put in the oven but they somehow managed undercooked and dry at the same time. The accompanying peas were cold/undercooked and the fish very average. We were also booked for breakfast both mornings. No cereal or anything like that just a very meat based cooked breakfast (extra for mushrooms) and make your own toast and tea/coffee (extra cost) and also orange juice extra cost. And to go with all of the above, tables, bar etc are just sticky....urgh! Staff are pleasant but I wouldn't recommend this place
