Very busy, but decent place to meet up with friends or pop into during a shopping trip, could do with a space remodel.

Last visited 4 years ago ; nothing has changed. Ordered food to take away, given a plate, ordered a small hot chocolate and was charged for a medium. Not impressed at all, they never listen and make you feel like an inconvenience.Considering the people making the drinks have the receipts in front of them how do they keep making so many mistakes?

Nice and smiling staff, the smell of good coffee greets you at the door. Clean and nice. I will go back there.

Service was dreadful and we had to have cardboard cups because apparently the dishwasher wasn't working. Won't be going there again any time soon

Visited this Costa to get a drink and something sweet. Staff are all really friendly and I felt very welcome. I was served swiftly despite it being busy and left with a smile on my face.

For first time ever I entered the Costa coffee basingstoke opposite town Sainsburys which I have never been in and probably will never again. Sorry if it is standard coffee shop practice. I wanted a slice of lemon cake from a plate of 6+or -,a coffee, a hot chocolate and a slice of carrot cake from full bake. I wasn't able to buy because they were being saved for tomorrow (next day)? I didn't care for the coffee and hot chocolate and left never to return. It was 3pm and I don't think those cakes would have failed to be bought. I apologise if that is normal coffee shop practice but until I am convinced it's reasonable, I still think its not good business.

I went in the morning at 9:30 to have a coffee. It was not busy because there was only one customer in front of me. I waited till the customer in front of me had completed their order. The staff kind of ignored me when I approached the counter. There were no greetings like "Good morning" or "Give me a minute while I make the other customers' order". I waited more than a few minutes and simply left and went to the other coffee shop because I was standing there like a lemon.

Didn’t open till 10am - then 5 staff took forever to make 2 drinks - also had a toastie but only one side was toasted ! My wife had a bacon bap with brown sauce , but given no sauce - had to go back, then found given no napkins! Had to go back again! Didn’t get a sorry or anything - then went to use toilet and it was filthy with tissues all over the floor- given they had just opened that is unforgivable- very poor - should’ve gone to Starbucks

Last time I ever visit this place. The tables were filthy and the floor was sticky. Needs either a deep clean or to be refurbished. Whilst most of the staff are friendly, one particular member seems to have an attitude.
