Stopped for lunch today, food was really tasty! Genuinely might be the best aubergine parmesan I have ever had. Full of flavour. Chips also awesome.

Great Sunday Lunch ?

Just popped in for a beer to meet friends on way to the Redfort Tandoori for a meal. Funny layout to get to the toilets. Unless I'm mistaken, the pub has a very strong odour of dogs!! So based on that alone, I'll probably not go back. The girl behind the bar was welcoming with a smile.

I popped in for a cup of coffee on 19th December, just to check out the pub as we had a booking for a family birthday party on 22 December. Another couple asked for the menu and they were told that the pub wasn‘t doing food that week because it was just the landlord. I asked him to check our booking for 22 December, he didn‘t come back to me, I went to the bar and asked for a second time if they had our booking, the reply was yes but they weren‘t doing food but ‚might‘ be able to offer a reduced menu - burgers or fish and chips. I said that wasn‘t what we had in mind for a special birthday party and asked that he get in touch with the family member organising the meal out. He didn‘t bother. Customer service 0 out of 10, manners 0 out of 10. We wont be going back.

Very disappointing roasts...?

Bar tender not very talkative (more interested in checking her phone). Large number of dead flies on windowsill. Tired decor and not cheap.

Although we've been living in Overton since March 2019 yesterday was the first time we went to the Greyhound. We had dinner, and it was exquisite. Flavoursome English pea & sparragus creamy risotto with parmesan. I enjoyed and tasted all ingredients. My husband had fish & chips. He loved everything on the plate. So unusual for him. The beef dripping chips, the fish, tartare sauce with capers and peas with mint. Also, he loved the starter black pudding roll.On top of that, there was a very friendly atmosphere, with familiar faces. Fully recommend this place. Thanks for making Overton restaurants and pubs even more interesting that they're.

Sunday roast, yummy! Home cooked like your Grandma would make it… really tasty. Highly recommend, and good value for money. The Greyhound has become my new favourite in Overton over the last few months! ?

We have had lunch at the Greyhound twice this month. The food is excellent - an imaginative menu with lovely fresh ingredients, a real delight. On both occasions we were part of a large party and everyone raved about the food. Well done Andy you are a superb host and special thanks to your chef.
A good family
