Great staff, lovely rooms & pub. Sweet little touches ie treats in the bar for dogs, a little sausage served with breakfast for dogs, spare wellies, dog poo bin (I’ve stayed in places where your wondering around with dog waste as no bin supplied)Breakfast was delicious, we had dinner there too which was nice. Rooms were clean & had all we needed plus a delicious welcome cookie ?. All in all we had a great time and enjoyed some lovely walks. We hope to return.Thank you

It was a nice place, food was nice, didn't like the green veg much, would've liked more carrot ? cos I got about a quarter of one which i liked very much, quite pricey I thought.

When we arrived the staff new who we were and that my wife required Gluten-free options, an adjusted menu was ready to go. Multiple food options were provided and it all tasted incredible.The room was as cosy as it looked on the website and all the little touches like a razor and shaving foam and other toiletries really made the difference.The service was on point and all of the staff were attentive and friendly.It was also the best night's sleep we have had in a long time.Excellent all round.

With family and friends, stayed once the room was amazing fabulous toiletries even lovely ones for your dog?❤️ the staff, the food and the whole experience was lovely ❤️❤️Rooms: Spotless and very comfortable ???Safety: Lovely place to stay ???????????Walkability: Great walks ????Food & drinks: Lovely food and drinks all reasonably priced ??

Perfect location to walk into the forest, but that’s as far as positives go. Room extremely hot and noisy, not the cleanest or best maintained, service was not great- everything was an inconvenience, food was ok however burger was burnt and certainly not worth £16 but due to being remote and unable to eat outside food at the hotel due to hotel rules, we didn’t have much of a choice. I wouldn’t necessarily say dog friendly- didn’t witness any of the things others did (dog treats, dog shampoo), shame as the “dog friendly reviews” were the reason we stayed here. May have just been a bad week as some others reviews were far from what we saw, but personally wouldn’t return to stay or to eat.

Just come back from an overnight stay at The Filly Inn and we were absolutely amazed by this place. Such a picturesque location and a beautiful room. We were made so welcome by the owners who were so so lovely and accommodating. Honestly can’t wait to come back. Guests have got to try the salted caramel profiteroles ? thank you so much for such a lovely time!

We stayed in The Pig brewery just up the road from The Filly and were recommended it by the brewery owners for a drink and food.We ended up coming in two nights in a row, as well as having breakfast there on our final day! The owners are so welcoming and the atmosphere in the pub was lovely and cosy.They have a little games nook, which we took full advantage of, and the food for both dinner and breakfast were delicious.Highly recommend! We will definitely be booking a room next time we are in the new forest.

We have enjoyed a number of great meals at The Filly and lunch today was again most enjoyable.A vibrant gastro pub with great food and service and reasonable prices. A good selection on the menu and the coffee and mini dessert options was an excellent way to end the meal.Too cold to use it today, but a very nice outside seating area will be popular in the Summer.
Popped in for a drink and went back later for a meal.Very pleasant.

Having eaten here on our previous visits to the new forest we knew it was a beautiful place and so when we needed a stop over it was the first place we thought of. However I wasn't expecting such a fantastic room, the attention to detail from the hosts to make the rooms amazing is incredible right down to pillow spray and homebaked cookies. We really can't praise the establishment highly enough and to top it off dinner in the restaurant by a roaring log fire was sublime. I am currently in room 1 with my wife and little dog wishing I could find an excuse to stay here longer. Will most certainly be back and next time for more than one night. If you find yourself in this neck of the forest do yourself a favour and book in I guarantee you will thank me.

I hadn't been to the Filly Inn for several years as the last visit was disappointing. I happened to be in the area and saw that it had been renovated, so decided to give it a go! We received a warm welcome, and were impressed with the new décor. The food and service was very good and will definitely return.

Enjoyed a lovely 2 night stay and had dinner the first night.Rooms decorated nicely, huge bed and all the utilities you would ever need - cookies in the room were a lovely touch. Breakfast options brilliant and very tasty.Dinner was delicious as were the cocktails / drinks.Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly and attentive service.Also very dog friendly - our dog absolutely loved his mini-break. Even got to meet the pub dog which made his day!
