Good:Staff are very friendly and helpfulOur room was a good size and cleanPub is cozy with good range of beerFeels like a well cared for placePlenty of car park spacesAbsolutely lovely views if sat outsideNot so good:Really strong smell of drains in bathroom - we had to keep the door closed and it was really very strongEvening meals were very bland and really not up to scratch although breakfast was ok.Bathroom doors were glass with a gap and turning the lights on at night would wake anyone sharing the roomDespite this we would stay again as overall it's a good place to stay, we would just order different food and be aware that we shouldn't expect much on this front.

Brother in-law booked this pub for a large mother's day lunch. It was very busy, and rightly so. The food was great, and the service was excellent, couple of stumbling blocks, but mainly due to them being busy. Everyone got the food they wanted and the dishes overall were delicious. Some people had poor potato experiences but were given chips as a replacement (as requested) as the chips were lovely. Accommodating 10 adults and 5 children's needs is difficult and the waitress did a fantastic job. Lovely venue.

Food over seasoned. Small portions, and left on warmer too long as meat was dry.

Went for a birthday Sunday lunch, took nearly an hour just for the starters to arrive. Over 40mins for the mains and when they did arrive it was barely warm, as we had waited so long we just used some hot gravy to warm it up. Not a good experience and we won't be returning.

Food and service were good. No problem parking. Location provides easy access to the A3.The room was a nice size and the bathroom was ok. I think it's worth giving the room a bit of a spruce up. Bathroom extraction looked like it had seen better days and one wall of the room had unusual drip stains along the length.Overall not a bad place for the money.

A Fullers pub. We used for family gathering before a cremation service. Large party, so food service was slow, but acceptable. We weren’t in a hurry, although total time there was nearly 3 hours!

We went for Sunday lunch, not the best of experiences. Slow meal and had to go to the bar for second round of drinks. Out table was booked at 12.45 pm and we got our meal at 13.45 pm.Food & drinks: Disappointed

Lovely pub, attentive staff, Connor, magnus, isabelle, Katie, kellie and Ashlea to name but a few. Always welcoming, always smiling. Food is great too, good selection and very well presented. Haven't stayed in a room yet, but will soon. Great location for walkers and workers to stay. I could only fault this place if I was asked to find one.

Nice find off the A3 .Food expensive at £1150 for that sandwich. but you have to pay for great quality it's not a Wetherspoons..Great service.
