We had a most enjoyable visit to the Five Bells on Saturday night. Firstly, I must say the staff were outstanding, they made us feel very welcome and were very attentive, right down to them offering one of our party a blanket as they were in a bit of a draft. The food was very good, pub grub at its best! We had the baked Camembert which was delicious followed by 2 hearty steaks. Great food, great service and great location. Nice local pub that I love to drop in for some lunch, good price and good menu. Good spot if you are exploring the South downs as well.

We had a delicious Sunday roast: tender and tasty beef, a good range of vegetables, and possibly the best roast potatoes I've ever tasted.The service was discreet but attentive, and we felt very welcome, even though we stayed quite late into the afternoon.If I lived closer I'd eat here regularly.
