Good meal at The Ham Farm Harvester - salad bar was really good and fresh and was able to sort all our allergies out without any overdue fuss.

Excellent place for a long lunch. Good food at a fair price, comfortable, and friendly staff. Highly recommended

Good value for money, great service, lovely atmosphere and good food but the draught from the windows was so cold we sat in our coats… time to get new double-glazing! The heating was on but sitting by the windows was awful even with the blinds down. Will come back in the Summer!

We've used Ham Farm quite a few times now, usually quite good. But today, not so. My meal was steak, chicken, prawns (sounded great on the menu). The steak was really, really tough, the chicken was a bit over-done and the prawns resembled the cheapy deep frozen supermarket ones. I think all three items had been sat for a while under a heat lamp to keep warm, somewhat dried out, definitely not freshly prepared. I cook regularly, and I really can't work out how you can do that to a chicken breast! in the end I just got bored of chewing it, very unlike me to leave any food! My missus had the rotisserie chicken and again it was dry and past it's useful life as a meal. On our last visit to a Harvester I had a similarly inedible jacket spud that needed a hammer and chisel instead of a knife and fork. So maybe they are trying to reduce their food waste by refusing to dump food that has expired under the lamps? Obviously a bit of a drop in standards, and too much of a drop for us. We have decided to avoid for a while. There are plenty of good places around who are prepared to not serve you a dried out husk of a meal. If The Harvester decides it needs to improve, we'll be back after your make-over. Oh and my son liked his pasta, very nice. And great service, thank you.

Great to pop in after school run to warm up and have a filling breakfast which does me until dinner.

A really successful mixed-age family birthday meal out thanks to the understanding of our excellent waitress Lia - thank you for being so attentive and noticing our son was struggling with his food choice. You saved the day brilliantly, and your professionalism and attentiveness meant six happy customers who will definitely be returning! My parents live locally yet it was their first trip... I think they may quickly become regulars now! Great wide range of menu choices, good value, booths are v comfy, relaxed vibe and nobody could ever leave this place hungry!

Generally, it was good, service was amazing, Sarah was very helpful and friendly. I ordered "the ultimate breakfast" and asked for No Beans or Black Pudding and I requested scrambled egg. When my food arrived it looks gorgeous, the very well presented. I touched my scrambled eggs....stone cold, I touched my grilled tomatoes and mushroom, stone cold. I politely mentioned it to Sarah and she took my food away to ask the chef to prepare a fresh plate. When my second plate arrived it wasn't any better, eggs, tomato and mushrooms ice cold. I again mentioned it to Sarah who offered to get a new one but I insisted that it would be okay. A few mins later, a plate arrived with hot tomatoes and scrambled eggs. Thank you Sarah for the help you gave today and for sorting out the issues with my cold meal. If it wasn't for the good service I would be saying don't rush to visit this restaurant, but the front of house team are superb and are willing to go the extra mile. Kitchen staff however need to sort themselves out. I am not going to rush back here due to the cold food being served not just once but TWICE!

Went for lunch with my missus, niece and mother in law and ordered the ultimate mixed grill, the waitress (Sarah) was a lovely woman, polite and very welcoming and when the food came out - oh my days it was the dogs bollocks! The steak was cooked to perfection along with the rest of everything on my plate. It was humongous. I ate the lot and now I'm baking a massive turd. It was so good, I can't wait for it to come out tomorrow so I can plop it on a plate and enjoy it all over again. Compliments to John the chef

My wife and I booked into the Harvester at Eastleigh for Sunday lunch and enjoyed a very pleasant meal. Our waitress, Melana, was excellent and kept us informed where necessary. The main course particularly was piping hot and beautifully cooked and presented. Our only regret would be that we do not know when we will be in that area again!
