A Well Done to ASDA Fareham. I was standing in a queue for a manned service lane with my hand basket of products. An assistant approached and offered to scan my shopping for me . And then she packed it for me..This was an attempt to reduce some of the queueing. An excellent initiative by the store.

Not a nice place. Too much standing around waiting to be served at the customer service counter, more often than not only 1 till open. Tonight 8.30pm wasnt open at all. Very rude employee with a walking advised she hadnt had her break, theres no staff so its closed & hobbled off. So disrespectful

No staff that are competent on self service so end up having to queue at 1 checkout that is open. Store service gets worse each time visit. Management obviously not doing their job in either recruitment or training. If I didn't have a trolley full I would happily have spent extra at any other supermarket.

Keep it going

Could be so much nicer for people that do a shop at night, the staff don't want to help, no thought given to those that want to get past the pallets apart from tutting when you pick something up

I’m a delivery driver been waiting for hours in the car park a guy decided to tell us 5 drivers that he will be doing the costumer first then will be doing the delivery, the name of the man was George from the delivery department I would like that someone investigat the situation as is ridiculous how some people have been put on the job that they are not able to do!

Regrettable and frustrating shopping experience as not only are you subjected to Christmas music a mere six days into November which I put the blame more on the head office who aren't going to be subjected to the same predictable rotation the staff are for the next two months.Pizza counter looked like it had been ransacked and filled out with chicken and bacon, vegi feast and chicken sizzler and no other flavours while the counter not open sign apparently made either the woman behind the staff think she was invisible or the customers as ignored any attempt to engage with her.Yes the store size does provide more selection with the usual great pricing but there felt like no rhyme nor reason to the chilled section, leading you to traipse up and down the aisle while working our click and collect staff and mobility scooters.Sadly little will change as the company know already the lack of options means they only need put in the bare minimum of having what the customer needs in stock to ensure repeat shoppers. So perhaps just think of your staff at least and save the Christmas music till December.

Stock levels consistently poor.Order online shopping and regularly get numerous 'not available' or ridiculous substitutes.Basics like own brand milk, bread and orange juice regularly 'unavailable', instead of trying to substitute with a similar product they just don't bother.Items in-store often out of date.Had an online delivery booked recently with several items shown as unavailable and no substitute offered.Went into the store and these items were on the shelves! I spoke to the manager on the shop floor about the service, he said that their stock levels were at 94% so why is online delivery so bad?!

Live insects in salad, Horrific experience after being a customer for over 10 years. Salad items purchased from fareham superstore.Purchased Asda spinach and pea shoot salad, both listed as “washed and ready to eat”. To my surprise as I’m tucking into my salad, a green and yellow caterpillar gets up out of it and glides out of it. As expected I threw the salad away immediately. About four hours later I began feeling nauseous and sick, and then was sick several times. I was sent home from work that evening and was off work the following day as well, the sickness continued throughout the day. The next day I decided to contact Asda as I was worried about the origin of the caterpillar and curious as to what parasite may have been in there. The response was not what I had expected from the customer service advisor Roselyn. Her response, was that Asda stopped using pesticides so you are now more likely to find insects in your food, amongst other possible things. I did not find this a satisfactory answer to something that is supposedly washed and ready to eat and the packaging gives no indication you are more likely to find insects in Asda products after the production/sourcing changes they have clearly made. She also rudely sent me a link that tells you how to wash fruit and vegetables. She treated me like a child telling me how to wash food, despite her company packaging saying it wouldn’t need to be. She then sarcastically said that she’s no medical officer and could not give me an indication into why I was being violently sick and made no attempt to investigate the complaint further. Frustrated, I politely advised this response was not acceptable. I also asked to be refunded for the food considering it had all gone in the bin, something Roselyn was too superior and lazy to do. Her colleague Ian then responded, again made no attempt to investigate further and disregarded all my original comments just like Roselyn. He replied asking what it is that I wanted….. I mean how lazy can you be that you have to ask a customer how to respond to the complaint, do these people have no training at all? I then advised him that I had not even been refunded for the food which I think was around £3. I then get an email saying here have an extra £7 on us as goodwill, and basically go away. As my sickness progressed and Asda made no effort to find out what was in that salad, my GP arranged a blood test. A few weeks later I finally have my test results and am now having to go through an injury lawyer to make a claim against the poisoning, the poor customer service and my loss of earnings from work. This could have all been avoided if I had help from the team at Asda, but it was overall a disastrous and stressful experience.

Why doesn't the management learn that one person in the cafe is not enough?? So many complaints, which are answered with an apology and a promise to pass on the comments - yet still nothing changes. On a busy Sunday morning especially, I'd say three people wouldn't be too many. There was a response to my review - guess what it said? Yep, we are sorry.... will pass it on..... the usual rhetoric.

Absolutely shocking, had a click & collect booked for 17:30 on Sunday eve, fully expected to have to wait a little due to being a Sunday. However after 40 mins being sat in the car park with around 8 other customers and not seeing a single Asda college, I have to say that this is simply the worst click & collect service I have ever seen and would strongly recommend people do not use it.

Extremely rude staff. The store has gone down hill particularly since covid, where on a number of occasions the staff broke their own store policy of coming within 2 meters of me, and then arguing with me when I asked them to move away. More recently, one staff member (Tracey) was extremely argumentative with me when I asked for the blue light discount. On another occasion I asked her where something was in the store, and she couldn’t be bothered to go and look for me. Some of the staff are polite, but I would say at least 40% are rude and unprofessional.

Home delivery - what is the point of adding delivery instructions when they are not handed to the drivers? 4 times now, different drivers have not been updated - terrible service from the store management!

Move your medication away from the counter area!!!! I had my boy sat in the trolley while I was putting my goods onto the conveyer, and I looked up to find he had taken a box of nurofen off the shelf! Thank god he didn't open them!!Why have them on the shelf, trolley height, when parents are busy, thinking their child is safe! They looked like sweets! Could have been disastrous. I'm not going back there until it's acknowledged and moved to a safer place.
