It was our first trip to the Sir Joseph Paxton. Julie was super friendly and helpful, and the quiz exceeded expectations (Gary Parker even has his own theme!). A lovely pub with great atmosphere - well worth a visit!

This is a lovely, warm, inclusive pub. Dog friendly. Claire and her team have always made us feel really welcome especially as newcomers. We started coming to The Castle in The Air during the summer and have now become fairly regular. The pub quiz evenings held on Tuesday are great fun, Claire is a funny, kind and great compere, she really makes sure everyone has a great time. We haven’t eaten there yet so can’t comment on the food this time, but what comes out of the kitchen looks good. Highly recommend this little gem by the sea.

This is really a gem, small boutique restaurant with basic decorations. We found this from Google search and I must say the reviews is underrated, it is definitely the best meals and sophisticated foods we had in UK compared to the so called awarded winning restaurant and Michelin Restaurant for a reasonably $.
Gemma was very friendly and detail orientated that completed the whole dining experience. We would definitely have no hesitation to recommend it to anybody that appreciate a fine meal. We will definitely be back for more especially the set meal they do from Tues to Thursday.

My wife and I visited Cackleberrys for the first time, on New Year’s Eve, and we were not disappointed. Tess was friendly and looked after us very well during our visit. We both had breakfast muffins, which were delicious! The coffees were hot and complimented our food choice. We also took a couple of the homemade pies away with us, which were really tasty too! Prices were reasonable and the seating area and toilets were clean and well presented. We’d definitely recommend a visit, and we’ll be back there again, sometime soon.

Amazing, I started this review as I mean to go on. I can't fault the minors at all. Recently moved to the area, so very new and finding our feet in our new surroundings. We first tried the Minors Arms with a large group for a Sunday roast and we all loved it in every aspect, food, service, greeting, atmosphere were all faultless! Have just re visited and again I'm blown away by the standard! I didn't want to write this review as I want to keep this new found experience a secret but it wouldn't be fair to the business. Trust me when I say book a table and you won't be disappointed.

Went for a meal with a table of 8 people on mother's day 15/03/26 it was absolutely lovely looks nice inside and staff was welcoming and the service was brilliant spaced out nicely between meals did not feel rushed it was lovely and relaxed the drinks were also good. The food was amazing it was more expensive but you get what you pay for as it was a perfect place to choose on such a special day.

Thank you to the chefs ?‍? and the lovely staff attending to our table.

Home cooked food really was honecooked by someone who really can cook.

Tge water pastry on tge pie was a wonderful departure from the frozen puff pastry used by too many pubs. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. And the chillie just hit enough and full of flavour.

I went to the Wheatsheaf with Fareham Ladies Club for our Christmas get together.
The food was delicious and plentiful. I had steak chasseur, the steak was perfectly cooked. At the last minute I decided I wanted a cheese board. That came out within minutes, despite it being a very busy night for the staff.
A fantastic night, with great company in a pub with a great atmosphere. Thank you, Mark, for being such a fabulous host.

Popped into The Cuckoo Pint in Stubbington last night for a drink and was really impressed. Although it was quite busy and there was only one barmaid working, she handled it brilliantly, super friendly, efficient, and clearly great at her job. Despite the rush, she made sure everyone was served with a smile and kept the atmosphere upbeat.

The pub itself has a warm, welcoming vibe with a nice mix of locals. It’s got that classic British pub charm and a good selection of drinks behind the bar. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area, I’ll be back for sure!

The cafe itself was really good but the parking is horrendous. The cafe carpark was full so we had to park in the lane where the spaces are very muddy. Then someone parked really close so I had trouble getting out of the space. Furthermore, people working at the marina who did not attend the cafe were using the cafe carpark. We had a lovely take away from Salt & Vinegar Fish Bar last night. Two of us are vegetarian and we had the halloumi which is my dream find on a fish and chip shop menu!! The batter was gorgeous and the chips were delicious. We were also blown away by the veggie menu, we have never had so much choice!! A veggie kids option would make this place perfection (although our children still devoured their battered sausages!!). We are not that local, but we will definitely be back. Perfect stop to take home after a Whitley shopping trip! Thank you!

So much better than a year ago when we last visited Bills in Southampton and they were offering a very limited menu. The menus are now extensive, offering a variety of choice and good quality food. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive , especially Grace who couldn't be more helpful. Although we thought a glass of 175ml wine was a bit overpriced at around £8 each, we will definitely be returning again soon.

We went for a group booking with old comrades. It was signposted and easy to find. While it isn't fancy, it is modern and fresh. Though most of the staff are trainees (it's a college), they were very polite and professional, giving a very good level of service. They had a decent selection of drinks to accompany an excellent meal. The emphasis is on quality not quantity, so if you eat a lot you may be disappointed, however, the portions easily satisfied all (I think) of our large group of over 50s. Not a complaint among us. Would definitely eat here again, and would prefer it over many other 'posh' and not so posh restaurants I've eaten at.

Dietary restrictions: Everyone was asked if there were any dietary requirements or allergies.

Parking: Several parking areas with about 30-50 spots. Busy during lunchtime, but spaces in the evening.
