Booked a Table for 6 for 12.30. It was on the 29th and appeared to be full. Turned up on time and stood by the sign requesting to wait to be seated soon joined by loads of other people. We did not mind waiting as it was quite busy but it took at least 5 mns for any of the waiters to acknowlege us and only when my husband said" May be someone will come and speak to us in a minute". At that point the mature lady waitress finely spoke to us and said we would have to bear with her as they were very busy. Eventually we were taken to our Table and told that the service would be quite slow and she appeared very stressed. In all fairness the main course came quite quickly and was well prepared and tasty. However the young male waiter taking our desert order was rather uninterrested and a member of our party described him as aggressive. He did not even bother clearing the Table before bringing our pudding and we had to push our crockery to one side . We were overall disappointed by the poor service resulting in our opinion from poor training and bad organisation.

Went to this lovely cafe at HillHead for Christmas brunch and it was lovely. You get a 3 course brunch plus a cold drink and a hot beverage included in the very reasonable price. The staff in there work ever so hard and are always seem to go the extra mile to make your dining experience enjoyable. It's also dog friendly too for well behaved doggies. We've been there several times just for a coffee or a takeaway drink but this was our first time we've eaten there. I can't fault anything or anybody who works there in this lovely little cafe. Well done to all!

My third year having the festive afternoon tea here and it’s always excellent. A lovely variety of flavours and great attention to detail. We always come away with some cakes we couldn’t manage but that’s all part of the fun and prolongs the experience. Can’t fault this experience and looking forward to next year.

Just had an excellent fish finger sandwich for lunch. Super friendly staff who were very helpful to ensure our dogs were settled ?

First visit to this lovely area after a walk in and around the Meon shore. Had a breakfast, first class ingredients in an attentive comfortable environment. Restaurant is split into areas, dog friendly in the front part. I thought it was good value for the quality of the food. Breakfast menu until 11.30 I think but a good varied menu otherwise. Will definitely return. Car parking at rear, said it was for the boozer opposite but don’t think it’s particularly monitored, otherwise on street parking too.

Just had a lunch break here with my Wife n Niece (she was asleep though!). I had the brunch with 2 of the biggest best sausages ever put on a breakfast! The cream tea was spot on and milkshakes amazing (try the Biscoff). The Afternoon teas looked really good someone next to us had ordered one. Dogs are allowed they even have a small food menu for them! Kitchen stops at 1400, but cakes are available through till 1600. With the tea party in Lee closed now this is a ideal alternative. Parking is for the pub opposite but plenty of space along the road.

Very pleased with this little place: good food and drink very reasonably priced, friendly and helpful staff and very accommodating of our baby. Big thumbs up.

Go here quite regularly, nothing but good quality food, all your typical farm shop style sausages and bacon on the breakfasts, you can't go wrong. Good coffee and every single meal you get here is pure quality. And top it off its Right near to the beach, so you can go for a beach walk after.

A long wait which was fine if the food was good. Ordered 2 x bacon toasted sandwiches and specialty asked for butter - served with spread. Returned. Came back with butter still in wrapper and hard. The bacon now cold. Very disappointing.

It's an ok Cafe but expensive for what you get. I spent 13 on a coffee and a bacon and egg sandwich with added hash brown and i got one but it was little. two bites and it was gone could do better there was no flavor but the granary bread was decent

Clearly pushing to be a place of choice to book near the beach and RSPB area here. Clean and tasteful beachy decor to greet you. Staff attentive and keen. Bit disappointed with the attitude on the menu to allergies and intolerance. Felt a bit hit and miss and not valued as customers because of this even though they did offer to swap some items like bread it ended up being without the salad and fruit that standard breakfast option had... Needs more thought IMHO or not keen to go again. All cooked well and no complaints overall. Everything felt to me like it needed that last push to get to five stars. Well done though and for most people perfect I am sure.
