This place is a gem with outstanding quality and an unbelievably low price.There were quite a few worrying things about coming here - Google says only 4.1*, clunky website and entire place empty at lunchtime.But wow, steaks were fantastic, on par with the best steakhouse in London. Chips were also really good - in that rare category of on another level compared to most.My little boy had a mango and ice cream smoothie which he announced as the best drink he'd ever had - and it was delicious.Decor is also very nice, a good mix of wood and white leather. Pricing is the lowest I've ever seen in a steakhouse, which is amazing given the quality.Only thing that let it down is the 'white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake' had no raspberry at all. I also couldnt tsste any white chocolate. And apparently they were missing the 'dressing sauce' which they didn't mention until serving it. This definitely should have been mentioned sooner, and combined with providing a different cheesecake to that on the menu let the place down quite a lot.Hopefully this place is busier in the evenings, it absolutely deserves to be, at least if they sort their deserts out. If it was in Brighton or London it would be constantly packed. Given the high-end quality and the extremely reasonable price, this is almost certainly the best value steakhouse in the UK.Absolutely recommended.

I witnessed management taking cash tips off other staff and putting it in the cash register. We also had a service charge on the bill that they informed us is given to staff. Thought we would try again and investigate because I thought that was illegal. (Unfortunately not until 1st June 2024. Lying to customers is, however).We watched other customers tip and watched as management suddenly appear to take payment if it was cash, when they had not been part of the service. They also spoke very badly to a few members of staff and I felt sorry for them. And yes, the cash went straight in the cash drawer or the managers pocket.Turns out my friends daughter worked at Ranchos a few years back - service charge goes directly to management. Make sure to remove service charge, and if you tip, tip in cash and make the staff member pocket it.

We had the wagu steak which I was not convinced it was a wagu steak but instead a rump as it was extremely chewy and not the melt in your mouth.I asked for a medium rare and it was pretty much blue. As a steak house I would expect them to at least get the steak cooked properly.The chips were rather greasy and tasted like they were cooked in weeks old fat.Not really impressed overall and will not be going back

As a vegetarian who's husband is an absolute carnivore, it's hard to find a restaurant that satisfies us both....we found it at Ranchos. A perfectly cooked sirloin for Mr B, and the most amazing, delicious veggie fajitas for me. This was our first visit, but it most definitely won't be our last.Vegetarian options: Really tasty, well cooked vegetarian option. Not the usual 'run of the mill' veggie options

Totally loved this venue. The fajitas and mixed grill where worth every penny. The service was prompt without feeling pushy and the venue was clean and well presented. Will definitely be using again.

Terrible service (1.5 hours to receive starters) for our table of 15.Prioritising deliveries and another table of friends/family over ours.Despite the poor service they still felt the need to apply a service charge.Steak was the only saving Grace as it was ok.We will not be visiting again.

What a disaster! We pre-booked a table for 15 people and were the only customers upon arrival. Drinks were slow to arrive, and the food service was atrocious. Our table could view the service/kitchen are and it seems like they were prioritising delivery orders over those in the restaurant. To add insult to injury, another table entered the restaurant and appeared to be friends of the staff working there. We waited 1.5 hours for any starters to arrive. They mixed up chicken and meat dishes, and served the side orders of garlic bread with the starters. We ended up eating in 3 separate groups on our table due to the terrible service. The main courses were equally confused by the staff - so the same result where we ate separately. I have given a rating of 2 instead of 1 as my steak was pretty good when it eventually arrived. The final insult was upon the group checking accounts the next day; one of the group was charged twice on their card. They even had the audacity to add the advertised service charge to the meal. We will not be back!

Took an hour and a half for the starters to come out. A family who were friends with the staff came in a while after us were served their food before us which made us all feel unimportant. The food especially the nachos was over priced. Nearly £8 for a small plate of plain doritos a blob of cheese and fake guacamole was ridiculous.

Very slow and disappointing experience. We were a large group (16) so anticipated that this wouldn’t be a quick meal, but given that there was only one other table in the restaurant, we were frustrated and disappointed in how long our starters took to come out - and that they didn’t all come out together. When the mains came out, three of us had to wait a while for our sides. Food was nice but Rancho’s seem to be prioritising orders for delivery over the satisfaction of customers actually in the restaurant which is shame.

Absolute scumbag of a restaurant. Don’t even have the courage to answer my 8 or so missed calls enquiring about a delivery that’s approaching 45 minutes late. Disgusted beyond belief. Avoid at all costs.

Really good, food was amazing, just one issue. Be mindful of the service charge put on the bill!! if you intend leaving a tip. I didn't realise ? and paid a statutory £17:35 and left a £20 tip! That won't happen next time.

Sorry gone down hill. Empty. Small steak. Over cooked chicken. Steak not seasoned. Flavourless ribs Non English speaking waiter. Food entry level. Slow service top price paid for basic cheap food. We won’t be back. Get your self sorted. Happy Christmas
