We travelled from Newbury so our 6 & 5 year olds could take nanny out for lunch in fareham. All thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Particularly the milkshakes, they were incredible and the raspberry cake!! Great value for money and lovely owner! Looking forward to returning. Highly recommend.

Today I returned with a friend for breakfast after a previous breakfast here a few weeks prior which was exceptional; however today we left very disappointed after discovering the vintage tea room is now under new ownership and has changed some of the breakfast ingredients. Shame to say we won't return unless we discover the food items have returned to the quality produce used previously.The waitress/cook as previous was still ever so happy and polite and lovely to talk to.Edit: many thanks to the owner for your response... lovely to hear that you will be changing back to your original breakfast brunch produce.

Just had a very poor brunch breakfast , fake bacon prob turkey , dry foamy hard sausages, beans were tepid and toast had cheap margarine on , the eggs were the only nice part . Won't bother going here againIn reply to the owners answer, if her colleague could tell from the moment we walked in we weren't happy then maybe she's in the wrong job, she should be a mind reader extraordinaire and predict lottery numbers !!! We were in fact really looking forward to it as one of us had previously had a hen do cream tea there which was amazing hence the reason for our return.Maybe you should gracefully accept criticism when it's due and not be so rude to customers as everyone can see what you are like , not very good for business?

Not a great experience.Firstly the lady serving was in a hoody, there was a child eating sweets presumably for customers but was putting hands straight into container (not the most hygienic) the lady who served the cake used her hands to put it on the plate and then went straight back on the till (gross).Overall you are standing at the till for ages and it’s just not a pleasant experience. Will not be returning.

I visited here with a friend today for the first time and we were both disappointed with the service and food. Firstly, we were left waiting for so long by the only waitress who was strangely dressed in a tracksuit and hoody. Secondly, once we finally ordered, my friend was given the wrong flavour soup. She went up the counter to say that the order was wrong, and then the lady in the kitchen opened a cupboard in view of my friend and pulled out a TIN of the correct flavour. This was really strange as the flavour was listed as a soup of the day and we fully expected it to be homemade, not just Heinz (or whatever it was) from a tin ? It made us wonder what else has just been brought in, such as the sandwiches, rather than being made there.We won't be revisiting the cafe based on our experience today.

Had such a lovely experience! Myself and my business partner visited from London for a spa weekend and came for a late breakfast. The salon bagels were AMAZING!! And we had tea and scones… perfect. Great food and great service 10/10

An excellent venue for high tea, coffee and cake and a range of other foods and drink. Excellent friendly service from all the staff, with a special shout out for Ava, who served us. She served with a smile and great customer service ?

What a lovely find. Lovely staff, helped that the guy was a Brummie and X Navy as is my husband lol. We don't like going to big chain coffee shops so always look for smaller independent places. The best oat milk hot chocolate I think I've ever had, actually had 2 . Sausage sarnie beautiful sausages, very meaty and tasted lovely. The cakes looked beautiful, husband had a large space of coffee and walnut said it was very fresh and tasted great. He actually enjoyed his latte, usually they are too weak for him. Definitely be returning.Parking: There is no parking but plenty of car parks in Fareham

A last minute booking and we were very pleasantly surprised. Booked afternoon high tea for my mum and bother. The tea room was well presented, clean and great customer service from the two ladies who served us and prepared our food. Lovely bit of cheeky banter between us all and the food was delicious. Had far worse in London hotels. Well presented, plentiful and will definitely recommend and visit again. Great job ladies. Credit where credit is due!!

We stopped by for an impromptu lunch, staff were friendly and the food was really nice with good portion sizes and good value for the price. They were able to provide a gluten free alternative for one of my children. We didn't have any cake, but they looked amazing - we will definitely be back to to try some!

I hosted my daughters baby shower here yesterday, so glad I picked this venue. The staff were lovely, so helpful and accomodating to dietary requirements. Food was DELICIOUS and so much of it! Very good value for the price. I had lots of compliments from guests on the venue and food.I highly recommend them.Thank you to Jayne and her staff for making my daughters afternoon so special!!

Popped in for a tea and Cheese Cake. The scones were freshly baked and tasted delicious and the prices are great. The elderly couple were very kind and efficient. Will be visiting again soon.

Me and my friend went here for lunch yesterday, i had a panini it came with coleslaw and crisp and salad was delicious. My friend had a jacket potato which came with salad and coleslaw and was offered crisp aswell, we had two pots of tea, which came in a china tea pot and china cup and saucer, we also had a piece of caramel cheesecake which was also amazing, the tea shop was clean and very nice friendly staff, they also do afternoon tea, we will definitely be coming back for one of those, would highly recommend this tea shop.
