Love the fish and chips, but delivery 20 minutes past schedule and barely warm. You have to heat it up…defeats the object of takeaway really. They really need to ditch the chain delivey companies and get a couple of local drivers….they charge enough for delivery.

Food was hot however was missing 2 fishcakes and portion of chips, phoned up to complain and the person on the fine basically said we were lying, so mother in law was left without dinner terrible.

Bought cod and chips tonight. Sadly the oil being used appears to be past its use by date and needs changing. The place smells of it as soon as you walk in to collect the order and sadly it tasted of over-used oil so we had to throw the meal in the bin.The thick batter was still partly raw in the middle. Very disappointing. We will avoid going forward.

Now I'm cross. I've lived here since Christmas 1999, and though I knew the best Chippies around here. Darn! That this is the best Fish & Chip shop in the area, by a long short. Cod, Mushy Peas, & Chips, with a delicious crispy batter. Totally ?

Good fish and chips from here, cooked to order and reasonable value. Small cod, chips and mushy peas cost £9.65. Generous serving sizes for the price with a decent sized piece of cod and plenty of chips. Well cooked fish with a nice crunchy batter. Although the chips look very pale they had a nice crisp texture and were not at all greasy - cooked a little longer / double cooked to get a bit more colour and they would be perfect. Good to see no plastic used here - the food was packed in a cardboard tray and a paper bag so didn’t go soggy at all on the drive home.

Shocking place. Didn't know chips took 25mins to cook. Prioritised delivery drivers over customer's in shop. Awful place and had to walk out before losing it. DO NOT GO HERE.

This is my "go to" chippy in the area. I usually order using their app and pick it up 20 minutes later. The cod is quite large with the batter nice and crispy and freshly cooked. The portion size for the chips is good and maybe a little too much since we always have some left over.Vegetarian options: Veggie burger, onion rings, veggie samosa
