Now I'm cross. I've lived here since Christmas 1999, and though I knew the best Chippies around here. Darn! That this is the best Fish & Chip shop in the area, by a long short. Cod, Mushy Peas, & Chips, with a delicious crispy batter. Totally ?
Good fish and chips from here, cooked to order and reasonable value. Small cod, chips and mushy peas cost £9.65. Generous serving sizes for the price with a decent sized piece of cod and plenty of chips. Well cooked fish with a nice crunchy batter. Although the chips look very pale they had a nice crisp texture and were not at all greasy - cooked a little longer / double cooked to get a bit more colour and they would be perfect. Love the fish and chips, but delivery 20 minutes past schedule and barely warm. You have to heat it up…defeats the object of takeaway really. They really need to ditch the chain delivey companies and get a couple of local drivers….they charge enough for delivery.
