When we visited today it seemed to have gone up market . Had to wait in foyer to be seated and was told there was no cofee available ..Sat for quite while before anyone came over to see to us , so i began to wonder if had to go to counter to order. .!When we were served i asked if they still doing scones, with jam and cream. Reasonable question i thought. The woman serving seemed put out by me asking and pointed to counter and said over there " Darling" , now as a i dont think its polite or professional to call a customer "Darling" and that did annoy me but i was more confused wondered if the instuctions meant i had to order them at the counter or not . So i asked again only to be told they up there "Darling " again which i really didnt apreciate !.We both order hot chocolate and scones , then we were asked if we wanted butter or cream. ? I always thought you got butter and cream not either , so i queried this . Thewaitress was now a bit agitated and was told i was being rude ...Obviously didnt think that refering to customer as Darling was rudeand she walked away. .Bit disapointing as driven down from Southampton to come to this cafe. After which we got up left went to the cafe on beach further up ..PLEASE DON'T REFER TO PAYING CUSTOMERS AS LUV DARLING , SWEETIE. ect Its offensive!Maybe some staff training might help

Nice location. Forgot our cakes. Split drinks when serving them.

I'm writing this review now whilst still sitting some 30 minutes in and my food order hasn't been taken do there is a strong possibility I may shuffle off this planet before I actually get anything to eat. I shouldn't moan though as the poor family next to me hasn't even had their drinks order taken. A real shame as the location is lovely and the staff seem really nice all be it not managed or efficient. I don't like leaving bad reviews normally but this could well be the last thing I ever write, if so tell the kids I love them.

Coffee and Cake. Cake arrived quickly .. coffee took an age… cake half eaten so asked.. ‘long queue of take out coffees’ was the answer… no

Great location, good food and helpful staff even when they recently lost gas in the kitchen and did a great job in keeping us all informed whilst they caught up with orders.

Great choice of food for a snack or a meal and good size portions. Friendly and helpful staff. A good place to go after a walk along the golden mile seafront.

Had a nice breakfast, it was £13 . The ingredients where good . Lovey sausages and the breakfast came with a hot drink. Loads of parking available. When you have finished you can walk along the sea front.Dietary restrictions: They cater for Gluten free and Vegan I noticed.

Exciting visit at the beginning of Storm Jocelyn. It was suitably atmospheric being down by the water at lunchtime! 2 baked potatoes with salad (more than just garnish!) were delish, as usual, and the service was friendly and efficient (as usual)!
