What a find! Dropped in en route to usual Spoons breakfast and so glad we did.
Cracking breakfast, all cooked to perfection and piping hot. Probably best fried bread I've ever had. (It's Sunday..got to be done!). Great coffee too.
Little piece of millionaire shortbread with each hot drink was a really cute touch...it's the little things that people notice.
Pop classics and funky decor all added to the experience. Tempted by the art for sale too.
Deffo coming back here next time we visit Gosport. Just a pity we live 180 miles away!

We had our parents wake at Lakeside and couldn't be happier with the service we received. Jack arranged everything for me beforehand. On the day we had top class service from the 2 lovely ladies there. The food was fresh, delicious and plenty of it. They refilled teapots and served countless beers with smiles and sympathy. Visited on my own for a Saturday evening pint, the staff were friendly and the pub looked clean; the same couldn’t be said for the customers. Shouting and aggressive behaviour by customers in the smoking shelter, and inconsiderate behaviour inside the pub.

It was a Saturday, and it’s Gosport, so I didn’t expect anything less. When I asked the bar staff if it gets busy on a Saturday he said it was earlier in the day and they had some trouble, but it had calmed down since; which reaffirmed my expectations.

If you don’t mind a pub that’s a bit rough around the edges, here’s your place.

I have just returned from Suphawadi after a very special meal. The last time I was in there must have been way over 10 years ago.

First of all, the inside decor has been revamped from all the long tables before to more intimate settings.

The food itself came out quickly, and was fresh. In taste and presentation. The curry was served on a brass bowl lit up from a candle which sat well on the table but of course kept it warm. Then hot plates were brought out fir the starters.

Duck Spring rolls were crunchy and really full of flavour with the plum sauce.

I had calamari, the Mrs usually doesn't like it. But she was eating it saying how good it tasted with the sauce and fresh vegetables it was served with.

We then have a chicken pad thai and the green curry and jasmine rice mentioned previously.

The pad thai was rich and sweet with tamarind and had lots of different fresh stir fried veg and was full of flavour. Worlds apart from other similar takeaways.

The green curry was loaded with okra pieces, fresh lemon grass (maybe?) Fresh green peppers and was 10/10 for flavour.

I have to now mention the chicken. If you are reading this. It is likely you live in Gosport. You know others oriental restaurants often use a processed frozen chicken that has a spongyness to it. Well the chicken here in the dishes tasted proper, texture like chicken breast marinated and cooked fresh.

The individual ingredients they use are all high quality which brings the overall taste, texture and experience up a few notches to that what it used to be.

Lastly the service was friendly and pleasant, the lady did a 'check back' to ensure we were satisfied and could tell she was happy that we were happy.

You can then go to the toilet and on the way see the Thai chefs in the kitchen chopping food, cooking fresh and putting their all into the dishes.

This place is massively better than it used to be, which leads me to the final point:

The outside decor in the day time does look out of date and needs a revamp. One reason I have not been back after many years is because I presumed it was the same and under the same management and chefs as before.

But from what I understand this family took over 8 years ago. I think It would bring much more interest and people in if the outside signage and decor was revamped.

But I guess they must do well with takeaways and perhaps don't want a completely full restaurant as it's hard to then keep the standards as high.

I think there was 5-6 other tables tonight which meant they could be attentive and put a real effort into the food for each table.

I hope to go back again soon. Sorry we could not tip more (not much change) but I hope this review helps at least a few people decide to come try you out again as it is top tier food.

I'm used to Thai Restaurants in London and Dorset and this was as good as if not better than those I also highly rate.

Food good apart from the minimal amount or forgetting the cheese is ridiculous but you need to spend £8 or over to get delivery . Also canr believe they haven't heard of loaded fries or seen what Southampton comes up with an there kebabs omg well I have had all the kebabs an this is one of the better shame not the best I've ever had .

Came across this pub by chance, on a walk through Gosport. Very good service, staff were friendly, live music on the Friday I went in. A really comfortable, versatile venue. They have big screens for the live sports etc. Instantly felt at ease. Great old fashioned pub of the great tradition. It is a great value gem which caters very well for the community. You don't get ripped off; the prices are honest. Would happily come back. Thank you for an enjoyable visit. Please support pubs like this.

Their set lunch menu is an amazing deal and you can also get lunch boxes for £5. I love their all you can eat too with plenty of choices. Food is always fantastic. My favourite being sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style and chicken chow mein. Staff are always very friendly and welcoming and delivery service is always hot and prompt.

This was my first visit and I ordered my meals. A set meal for one from old menu which was no problem for the staff. Also a special chow mein and salt and pepper squid. Lovely meal and flavours plenty to eat and nice piece of chicken in the chicken and mushrooms. Squid beautifully cooked though will ask for no chillies next time. Would recommend this as a place to get a nice meal.
