Quality has dropped since I last visited about 7 years ago. Old owners made typical Bangladeshi cuisine, but as you got to know them, they would make dishes not on the menu; essentially what they would eat. This time the quality was low; meat over cooked, sauces too thick and layered with chili, and the rice could have better.It's a shame as once this restaurant had a strong following. We all understand the cost of living has driven up ingredient costs, but people will pay a few more pounds for a quality dish. Service was good, but the preparation needs a major rethink

We found Gandhi Restaurant purely by accident whilst visiting Hayling Island and can honestly say it was one of the nicest Indian Restaurants we have experienced, staff and service were excellent and with such a lovely atmosphere and the food was absolutely gorgeous ... would highly recommend , would certainly visit again when in the area 10 out 10

Quite simply the best Indian meal Ive ever had. Stunningly well cooked. Great flavours and the service was excellent. You when something is so good that you are genuinely surprised. Brilliant.

First time ordering from here and always slightly apprehensive as there seems to be too many terrible restaurants out there but these guys were fantastic.Excellent food, great portions, fair pricing. Will order again. Highly recommend the chicken tikka zalfrazi ?
What a FANTASTIC place!!!!!! Food was absolutly beautiful lovely tender meat and rich flavours to the food! This restraunt has such a warm atmosphere to it! The staff are very nice and kind really felt as though we were looked after and taken care of! They even made sure I wasn't waiting out side in the cold for a cab and made sure I was ok with my journey home as it was cold dark and raining! Lovely genuine people 10/10 WOULD HIGHLY RECOMEND!!!!!!

Exceptionally nice service and people. Were also very conscious of us waiting in the cold outside once we had finished, and were very kind throughout.Food was brilliant and came out very fast. Poppadoms were given whilst we waited for mains. Would recommend highly

We booked a table at 10pm which they said was fine on the phone, we arrived at 10:02pm and they had shut the restaurant, 30min earlier than their closing time. I would not bother booking, clearly only walk in.
