An excellent venue, an impromptu visit having just moved into the area. Prawn cocktail was super, scampi, ribeye and kids meal(fantastic value) were incredibly tasty. Landlady was very accommodating and pleasant. Didn’t leave a tip as had no cash but I will return with a double tip. Highly recommend. Don’t miss out. You have to go here. A lot of effort goes into what they do. Support local.

Started going here a bit more regular, as I did, and still don't like dogs in places where food is served. But been there a few times this year already and have to say that young Jack's team do a fine job. They are all very attentive, the food is excellent and the choice is good, lack of custard, my fav pudding, on the menu has been pointed out, and a bowl was speedily provided, can't grumble at that.

Very tasty turkey sunday lunch with all the trimmings. Lots of different veg, Yorkshire pudding, pigs in blankets, really lovely gravy. Nice and hot.Caramel cheesecake and chocolate brownie for dessert.

My wife and I had the pleasure of finding The Olive Leaf. It is simply superb. The staff are so friendly, polite and engaging with their customers. We had lunch and the quality, presentation and taste of the food was fantastic. There's plenty of choice for beers and lager too. Everything about this place ticks all the boxes. It was an 11 out of 10 customer experience, it was that good. If you're ever visiting Hayling Island then do give The Olive Leaf a visit, you'll be glad you did. Thanks to everyone we spoke to which contributed to our stay in your part of the World. We wish you continued success.

Lovly Pub.The staff made me feel very welcome. A genuine sense that they really did care.I notice that they were saying, hi, to alot of their regulars.I had a mixed roast.I'm a big guy.But I felt like I could of done with couple more Roast potatoes, 3 served.Only one pig in a blanket too.I did only book an half hour before I ate, don't know it that affected anything.I'm sure the amount would be adequate for the average diners.Just saying. My veg came in separate blow it had sat in the kitchen a little too long. But the contents were good quality and well cooked. Otherwise the food was lovly.Especially the cauliflower cheese, such a good flavour.I did have room for dessert tho.A Lemon marang pie, with cream.Again a little small.I was surprised to see squirty cream, alongside my pie, but it could of been frash cream piped, it tasted good tho.The pie lacked that enough lemon tang, for me.A very thin marang topping. But it was fine.A lovly touch, was a sprig of fresh mint leaves on top of my pie. That really elevated that dish, complimenting it superbly. The pub itself is clean, cosy and as I said, very friendly.Just across a main road is the beach! You can see the sea through the window.I did get to sit out the front to finish my Guinness, a pleasant view to be had. They a have a lovely outdoor space out the back. Smallish carpark, well lade out maximising the parking in that space.Overall a enjoyable pub.I will definitely be going back.I may even ask for more roast potatoes and pigs in blankets.I don't mind paying a bit more.Maybe it's me who is the pig, smiles.
