British Restaurants in Hook

“Ate here early on a Friday night with friends. Had a starter sharing platter, which was delicious, and a special board of Thai beef fillet noodle salad which was cooked to perfection. Really busy but service was first class. Moved outside later for drinks in an enclosed private seating area which was fitted with lighting and a heater. Totally recommend this place!”

“Have been meaning to write a review for this fantastic, local and independently run restaurant for ages! Sunday lunches Have eaten these on many occasions here. Well priced, excellent food and fantastic, friendly & attentive service. Always a choice of roast too! Christmas Day Eaten here with the family for the past two years. A truly fantastic, stress free experience each time. Full Christmas menu & a speciality, complimentary buffet-style cheese table to die for! Table is booked for one (your) sitting only, so no rushing along to get you out like most places. Wednesday night is Dining night Dine here every 5/6 weeks for the £25 4-course meal. Fantastic value for money and the food is always tasty and freshly cooked. 3 or 4 choices for each course. A thoroughly enjoyable night out with a partner or friends. Pre-Christmas Party Menu. The members of my 14 piece swing / big band enjoyed the pre-Christmas meal SO much last year, we’re going back again this year. Booked for 40 people maybe d-week in December. Full menu, several choices per course and reasonably priced with a full bar. Welcome, food & service is always excellent whether going for a snack, Sunday roast, evening dinner (Weds is brilliant), Christmas Party menu or the Full Christmas Day experience. Love the place ?”

“This late 19th century Hall has history, and grounds that are beautiful. The gardens, walled, open and water, are very well maintained. Rooms are large and very well kept. Staff very accommodating and well dressed. The lounges are large as you would expect. Everything you see it from the period. It truly is an experience worth trying. The evening meal, was exceptional, with a pianist playing well known modern tunes in a contemporary manner. Room service lovely. Swimming pools both inside and out were warm and lovely to relax in. (I would say the inside pool needed a bit of repair. (The Jacuzzi seemed to have water flowing from between the small tiles and the ladder to climb out at the opposing end was loose and a little corroded). But please bear in mind the small niggles were far outweighed by the pleasing atmosphere Tyndley Hall offers. My wife and I cannot wait to stay again later in the year.”

“Me my wife, Daughter and son in law visited on Sunday 10th Sept for Sunday dinner. Food was superb, waiting staff are young but very professional and attentive. The restaurant is comfortable with plenty of room between tables, with a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend. We will be returning soon.”

“An extremely pleasant afternoon sat outside on a sunny afternoon. The pub was recommended to me by a friend.I hadn’t taken into account there was private parking at the back. Noted for future use.The inside looked lovely and colourful all decked out in Autumn colours. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and they took cards AND cash.I’m definitely returning and making this my new go to local place to meet.”
